Am I the only one who didn't want to fight the crowds at the stores today? I'm the only one on here in the middle of the day. Well, was it worth it? Did you find any bargains??? If so, this is the place to brag!!!

It's mid-afternoon now and I'm the only one here. I didn't go shopping. Too afraid of all those people. I've mostly just done laundry and laid around. Hope someone got some good deals.

I didn't go either. We have an Alco in town, but Wal-mart is 30 miles away. The mall, Target, and other stores are in Wichita which is 100 miles away! I didn't want to drive or fight the crowds bad enough to go. I'll wait until the middle of the week to do my shopping.
I'm with you ladies! I worked, so had a good excuse not to go shopping. I seriously wouldn't have gone anyway, for the very reasons you all mentioned above. I really don't enjoy crowds, so will finish up my shopping online as much as possible. I have over half done already, but time's a'wasting! ;)

I went shopping...but in the afternoon. I wanted to miss the big crowds and I did. Got in, got what I needed, and got out. A breeze!

We got restless later in the afternoon, and all went to Academy. My husband hadn't been in their, yet. A friend of our daughters came by while we were there and we all came home and played some kind of Mario video game all evening. 4 players can play, so they got me on there. We had a blast. We laughted and ate popcorn all evening.

Well there's not many joining in this post so they are either still too full to move or they've found some great deals and not ready to stop shopping yet.....LOL

Academy is an outdoors/sporting good store. Here's a link to their website. http://www.academy.com/
It was a big deal for our town to get an Academy. All we had for sporting goods prior to that were the locally owned shops or Walmart. There were rumors that Academy was moving in for years and that one of the locals who was politically connected was keeping them out. The big chains are moving in everywhere. They can't be kept out forever.
I went shopping last night and found my bargains.
I got a leather coat for half price, DVDs for $9.99, a pair of $43 pants for $5, a $39 hoodie for $14, $64 shoes for $39, so I did fairly well!
As I stated before, I had no intention of going into the stores, but my son talked me into it. Now I'm glad I did. :)

Those are great deals!!! I should have gone shopping, but I didn't. Maybe next year. Hopefully I'll find some good deals on-line.

WOW!!!!  Those are some real bargains!!!! Maybe I should plan ahead next year and brave the crowds. My family never tells me what they want in time. They are the worst procrastinators, and they act like I'm the one with the problem for "nagging" them. Looks like, once again, they are costing me money. I'll just have to shop for the internet deals. Though actually, I do pretty well with that.

We didn't go shopping the day after Thanksgiving either. We did ours in the middle of the week. We have a couple more things to pick up and then we are done.
