Except it's not only my legs. Quite often I feel a bugs crawling on my extremities. I find myself almost constantly squirming around. I'm possessed!

I know exactly how you feel!!! I've found that taking a calcium/magnesium supplement helps. I take one everynight before I go to bed and even carry one with me for when I travel. I also have some Dolomite that I take.....it's a natural form of calcium/magnesium that I order off of the internet from Drugstore.com
Also......and this sounds really stupid but I think that it may work......put a bar of soap in your bed near your feet!!! I use Dial but I think that you can use Irish Spring as well. I wonder if it has to be a bar that has deodorant protection......I don't know.....but I think it works!!!!
I hope that something works for you!!!!
Oh my!!! That sounds mega annoying!!! What has the doctor said?
Soap? Where did you find out about that, Diana?
I was curious, so I googled restless legs and soap. There are lots of sites listed, but I clicked in on this one:

I wish I could offer a solution, but have no experience whatsoever. Sounds like that soap idea works Diana....I read the link Judy posted. It can't be crazy if it works for others as well.

Tonic water may work, it is usually recommended for leg cramps because it has quinine in it. Gary can't eat bananas for his leg cramps so he drinks a small bottle of tonic water before bed when he is having trouble with cramps. It couldn't hurt to try it and see if it helps Sandy.

I heard about the soap in your bed thing from my daughter-in-law, Tammy. Her Dad swears by it and she also does it for Elijah because he has foot and leg cramps during the night.
I know that it sounds silly but it does seem to work for me. Last night when I was going to sleep my legs were bothering me so I hunted down my bar of soap.....it seems to get lost at the foot of the bed.....I rubbed my feet on it and promptly fell asleep. Sounds crazy!!!!
Do you think that would work for sciatica?

I'll try soap, but mine's not just in bed. Sitting in meetings, I'm squirming because my legs are restless. People probably think I have hemorrhoids. I'll try tonic water.

You can have restless legs in the daytime too. If it really bothers you during the day, try the tonic water and if that doesn't help, there is some medicine you can take. Sometimes Gary's legs start bothering him in the middle of the afternoon, so he takes a pill at 2:00P. They also bother him in the evening when he is watching TV, so he takes another pill at 7:00P. Then he takes 2 pills at bedtime because they REALLY bother him at night.

I have trouble when I ride in a car.....so I always carry some Dolomite with me and within 20 minutes of taking one I'm much, much better.

I got to thinking about this restless leg thing....I know I've never had that, but there are times when I go to bed that I feel they need to be stretched, not for long and it doesn't bother me while sleeping or anything, but sitting here in bed while on the computer...I wish someone could put my legs on a stretcher... :)
