Anything special going on today for the 'Father's' in your life? I reminded Ricky to get his dad something, but don't know if he did. He hates spending his money. I hope he does something for him.
I'm going to Jessie's. I got Steve 2 antique boxes. One is a beauty - used to hold a Marconi Electrical voltage machine. The other is small, but has a wolf on it. He loves antiques, and he is an electrician.
He has been very grouchy lately. The whole dog issue sent him over the edge. He goes over that edge so easily! We just ignore him if he's grumpy and he goes into the garage and works on whatever.
HAPPY FATHERS' DAY TO ALL!!!

We went to Outback for dinner. I told Gary I would cook (usually he wants chicken friend steak) but he said it was too hot to cook (YAY) so we went to Outback. My favorite dish wasn't as good tonight. I usually eat the fillet wedge salad. It's a wedge of ice berg lettuce with onions and bacon with a blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles and a couple of small slices of fillet mignon. It's very good and the nutrition calculator says it is only 533 calories - not great, but not bad for a steakhouse. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my diet) the steak was tough (stringy) and so I didn't eat it, which made fewer calories.

Gayle....."chicken friend chicken"??? What do you cook a chicken's friend????? :sidesplit: Sorry.....I just couldn't help myself!!!!
After church Dae Lynn and the kids, Kera and Daya, and I went out to eat at one of Glen's favorite restaurants. It's a little chinese restaurant that has a great buffet!! Then we went to Walmart and shopped. Any time you get in a town with a Walmart you go......otherwise it's a 30 mile trip to go later!!! Kera and Daya went with us because Amy was sick and Jason had been out on a couple of fire calls and he was tired.....so the girls went to church with us. They ended up making their Dad his favorite cake when they got home. I had bought Glen a couple of new shirts for Father's Day but I gave them to him last week.
I bought my Mom and Step Dad a digital picture frame but I want to put some pictures on it so they can use it right away......however I still don't have it ready for them......maybe later!!!!
It sounds like we all had nice Fathers' Days!
Diana, Jessie and Steve gave me one of those frames filled with pictures and music for Christmas 2 years ago. I just love it! It is such a nice, thoughtful gift! I have mine in the kitchen and every time I glance at it, I see the kids!

I'm confused.
I KNOW I'm confused!!! I said in an earlier post in this thread that Gary and I would probably go out to eat for Father's day because it was so hot and I had driven home from Houston earlier in the day. I think I mentioned though, that what he really likes is for me to fix his favorite meal, chicken fried steak - only I guess I wrote chicken friend steak instead! Diana found my mistake and that's what we were talking about.
I have seen in restaurants chicken fried CHICKEN apart from chicken fried steak. Still yummy :D

I'm a little disappointed that all Ricky did was wish his dad a Happy Father's Day. He did have to work, but told me he didn't have any money. Sometimes my own son is so thoughtless.
He is very young Janet. They become aware of the rest of the world slowly! When he has children of his own, he will learn!!!
He may be angry at his Dad too. You say that he has always been tight with a dollar. They may need to work out their own issues.
