Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends. I'm cooking and watching the Macy Thanksgiving parade. It's been nice to have my kids here, they are so much fun!

Don't eat so much turkey you start gobbling! (or maybe that would be OK). :D

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Today is deer chili day at my brothers house. I have it simmering it smells sooo good! Saturday is Turkey and Dressing day at his house. Glad they live across the street, lol! I've been watching the Macy Parade, and now I'm watching the National Dog show.

Dinner is all done, dishes washed, leftovers put away, pie staring at me calling my name, kids gone home, house still a mess but I'll get it straightened up, football on the TV for the rest of the evening. Ahhhhhh, a good Thanksgiving day!

Gary and I looked over the black friday ads, but nothing jumped out at us. Gary needs a new cordless drill and Lowes has one like he wants so we'll probably get it. I want some Christmas lights from Home Depot, so we'll probably make that stop too. Otherwise, it will be a quiet black friday, I think.

We were going to go back to the lease tomorrow, but Gary got another deer last Tuesday so he decided we could stay home - YAY! He doesn't feel good, he over did it after I came home last weekend, and now he is paying for it. Plus his asthma is acting up so he's having trouble breathing and that makes him feel badly too. But I'm happy to stay home and vegetate!

We're done here too. Just the three of us and we didn't have our meal until around 6:00 pm. The guys went deer hunting this morning and didn't get back until noon. Rick got one, but couldn't find it. They came home and then went back to look some more. I hate when that happens, I worry the deer is suffering. They found lots of blood and a good blood trail, but then nothing. Makes me kind of sick to my stomach.

We didn't have much, a small turkey breast, Rick fixed a ham, mashed potatoes, noodles and Stove Top stuffing...:) Just had a piece of pecan pie and now I'm in bed. Ready for the day to get over with. Now....to get through Christmas.

I looked through all the ads today also and nothing really jumped at me either except for an item in Radio Shack....but the ad was for this morning I think. It was for a cover/stand for the IPad with a wireless keyboard for $29.00. I'm probably too late...lol...I usually am.

Gayle I hope Gary gets to feeling better soon. Why do men do that.....over do it when they know they will pay later? I can't imagine going through what he does.

I know Janet, it's hard to understand why men do that. I know Gary gets so frustrated when he can't do something so he just tries anyway. But sometimes I think it is just insanity - when you keep doing the same thing over and over and get the same results! LOL! Does he think one of these times he is magically going to be able to do everything he wants??? I know he is upset because he can't do what he used to, but dang, it is what it is and it isn't going to change.

I gained 2 pounds since Thursday!!! I'll diet on Monday....I love Thanksgiving food!
This is my favorite holiday. It's just about family, eating together, and remembering what you are thankful for.

Wish I could say I had a wonderful day but it wasn't for the most part :(

What did you do to celebrate Jessica?

I made a big diner so everyone could get together. My mom didn't want to come because she doesn't approve of my boyfriend. And my sis came in and didn't even greet him. She said she doesn't have to say hi to him. And I told her I hold my pride and go out of my way for her. And I atleast greet her man as to not cause any friction.

Long story short the first time they met him I had picked him up because he was drunk and I've always told him to call me. I brought him to my place and my mom just happen to visit me that day. Not good.

So I had drama in the living room and grumpy in the room :(

That's too bad Jessica. That's part of the reason we don't get together now that Mom is gone. Too much drama and I just don't need it. Makes the holiday so much better without all that.

I just couldn't stand the drama during the holidays, there is just no place for that nonsense and I'd do the same thing Janet, avoid it!
