Okay ladies....any parties or celebrations in the works? Are you attending one or planning one? We usually fix a seafood meal on NYE, but I'm wanting to go to Red Lobster or Outback this year. I want to go out even though I know there will be some wackos out there on the roads. We can drive the back roads all the way there and stay off the highways so that will help.

So....what ya all gonna be doing?

We are going out to the cabin and having New Years with my parents. Nothing big!

I think that Amy and Dae Lynn are planning a party here. I'm not sure how big it will be but it sounds BIG!! It works well to have people here because we have so much to do in the basement......pool table....ping pong......darts......fooseball......air hockey.....and I think they're going to hook up a Wii as well. Now I have to figure out what to fix for food!!!

Having just gotten home from a week long road trip, I'm staying home for a nice quiet evening, by myself. I'm my favorite person these days and doubt I could last until midnight.

We will stay at home away from the wild parties and drunk drivers. Like Sandy, I probably won't make it to midnight.

I usually never make it till midnight, but this week while I've been off I've been awake as late as 1:30 or 2:00 am. I'm sure though if we go out to eat, I'll eat more than I should and won't have any problem falling asleep. Probably by 10:00...lol.

I'm just glad we can drive on the country roads all the way there. If we had to be out on the highway, I'd just as soon stay at home.

My friends are having a party, which will be next door to my house. No driving, no problem! I was invited to another party here, but have to decline. When I lived in Brooklyn, I would never go out on NYE because of the drinking and driving. I usually fell asleep by 10 also!

Boy are we the party girls....LOLOL. When I was younger I use to love going out with friends and just having a great time. We'd go someplace with music and dancing. There was always drinking of course, but I was a nervous ninny and wouldn't drink too much on NYE. Wanted to make sure I made it home.

Looks like Ricky isn't going to party anywhere so when he gets off work at 6:30 we'll head to Lafayette and go to Red Lobster. We'll probably have to wait a bit, but it will be worth it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. :)

Janet, that sounds really fun! That's my kind of NYE.

We have been invited to a party, but we won't go. I'm very shy at parties where I don't know many people and Gary doesn't know anyone. I dont know how to make party talk. It would be so hard and not fun at all, even though the host is a really nice woman.

I'm going to fix a nice dinner and we'll watch TV, loads of fun, huh! LOL!

We spent NYE at our friends ranch with their daughter, sil, and 2 grandsons. We made a campfire, ate s'mores, and the kids shot fireworks. We are party animals, too!!

That sounds really fun, Betsi! It sounds just like my kinda party. We stayed home, drank a glass of champagne at midnight, and listened to all the fireworks. Actually at midnight there were some pretty ones we could see from our living room windows. Unfortunately my little Rexy is very afraid of fireworks so when he got scared, I put his thundershirt on. He still spent the evening on my lap, but he wasn't shaking. Those shirts really help.

We were in Branson.......so different not being home on NYE!! We went out to a nice steakhouse with Logan and Teresa then we went back to the condo and visited until midnight. We've been friends with them since we got married but haven't done much with them for the last few years.....mostly because we were so busy with our families. They have a new granddaughter now so we have grandchildren in common to visit about. It was such a good time!!!

Now that was nice.

My boy's said that this was the most boring NYE ever :( Poor babies. Sometimes school is not always the best thing.

Sounds like lots of different things went on. I stayed up with my husband and we each had a glass of wine. We watched Big Bang Marathon then went to bed. LOL.
Oh our neighbors shot off fire works too.

We are about 4 hours from Branson so not too far. It's a big vacation spot for most people around here because they offer so much. We didn't watch any shows or anything this time since Glen and Logan were planning on going scuba diving. I don't think that Logan and Teresa spend much money on things like that. Branson does have a lot of shopping though and we certainly did that!!! Teresa had a list of places that she wanted to go.......I really didn't have any where particular that I wanted to go but I had a good time.

I missed this thread, so....HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you, my wonderful friends!

I went to a party. My summer friends were here for the vacation, and it was a lot of fun. I don't drink, so I really have fun. My friends really loosen up after a few drinks, and they are so sweet and cute!!! Nobody has to drive, so it is okay.
