I have a 6 year old little girl in my Sunday School class named Madelyn. Her dad is our associate pastor at church. She has had a broken arm for the last 3 summers. The last time was a little over a month ago and was high enough on the arm that it couldn't be cast....however it healed very quickly. Last summer the doctor did some tests and said that she just has very tiny bones.....like a bird.....she is very petite.

Since she broke her arm again this year, I guess, the doctor decided to run some more tests and it has been determnined that she has osteoporosis throughout her body. They are in Kansas City today to see another doctor to find out what can be done. Please pray for Madelyn. She is just the sweetest little strawberry blonde, freckle faced little girl and it breaks my heart to think of what this disease could rob from her.

Diana, will keep her and her family in my prayers. So much going on everywhere right now. Praying they find out whats wrong and that it's not serious. Like the song says...God Must be Busy.

Madelyn is doing great! I guess that they're still waiting on one more test but they really don't think that it will be a problem. The doctor said to let her run, play, and be a normal child. She's taking extra calcium to help keep her bones built up......but she is just very petite and her bones are tiny.......just something that hopefully she'll grow out of.

I have small bones myself so I know it can b a pain. But that doesn't have to stop her from anything. Well maybe rough playing. And no heavy lifting the rest of her life.
