New Baby!!!!

Our little Jedidiah Glen is here!! 8 lbs. 10 oz.!! Tammy's blood pressure was too high still so the doctor decided to take him cesarean this afternoon. Today was Glen's Dad's birthday so Feyn is pretty excited that he was born on Frank's birthday!! We're planning on going over this evening and see the new baby!! What a great day!!!

Oh how exciting, a new baby!!!!! He is just adorable. I hope Tammy is feeling better and that her blood pressure is OK now! I know you are so excited!

Congratulations!!! I saw the pictures on Facebook earlier :) How exciting! He is really cute!

Tammy was doing really well last night when we went over. She got a new drug that is applied in the incision and helps with the pain for 18 hours. She's only the third person in the hospital to have it and she was impressed with it.

Jed, on the other hand, wasn't doing too good. He was born with a lot of fluid on his lungs and had trouble breathing. He was very blue and listless when he was born.....enough that his Apgar score was low.....5......out of 10. At the end of 5 minutes it was only at 6. He was on oxygen and really perked up when we were there but the oxygen was still on but was reduced. Feyn was the only one who had gotten to hold him and that was just to carry him from the delivery room to the baby room. Even Tammy hadn't gotten to hold him yet. I think that probably sometime during the night that they surely brought him in to Tammy because he was looking pretty good when we were there and had suctioned some fluid out.

Jed is a really pretty baby and looks so much like Elijah did!! I bet if you had them side by side at birth they'd look like twins!! The main difference is that Jed is a pound heavier and an inch shorter!! I can't wait to hold him!! Boy...did Dean look big this morning!!!

I'm glad they are doing better. That must have been so scary! It's sweet that they named him after Glen. Lol, I bet Dean does look big now:p

Dean definitely looks big but I think that when I actually get to hold Jed it will make him look even bigger!!

We haven't gone back over to see him. I figured that Tammy and Jed had lots of visitors yesterday and tonight we have The Alley. Tomorrow they're suppose to come home so I'll just wait impatiently until then!!!

Glen talked to Feyn today and Tammy has an infection in her incision. I'm sure that they'll have her on meds for that and that she'll be alright.

I finally made it over this morning to hold our new little guy!! He's so cute!! He looked a little jaundiced to me and Tammy said that he was. She had to take him to the dr. this afternoon and have it checked. I haven't heard how things were yet. It's been cloudy here so she hasn't been able to lay him in the sun which helps with jaundice.

Diana! He is sooo cute. Is Tammy feeling better? I know it is hard recovering from a C-section. That's major surgery!!!

Tammy not only had the c-section but she also had her tubes tied. She's better but it's slow going. The infection hasn't helped. I've haven't talked to her for a couple of days......I'm thinking that I need to check on her AND the baby sometime today!! LOL It helps that they just live down the road from us!!

When she took him to the doctor on Friday his numbers were good. I was surprised because I thought that he looked yellow.

I probably won't be seeing Tammy or Jed for a few days since I'm not feeling well. Bummer!!

How's little Jed doing Diana? Are you feeling well enough to visit with him?

I think that Jed's fine but I haven't seen him since I first started getting sick. I think that I'm pretty much over it but still sound really congested but it's a lot better today. I may stop in a little while if they're home. I bet that he's changed a lot in the last 10 days or so.
