Hi Girls,

I haven't been on here since before Christmas. To much stress going on right now.
Have been having problems with my Thyroid....Have been on meds for 4or 5 years with it.
This last summer my heartrate got up to 150 a minute. So ended up in ER and Dr adjusted my meds. it has not happened since. Then right before Christmas I had
blood work done. My Thryroid levels were way to high. Even though the dr had adjusted my meds. So on Dec. 26th I had togo in for an MRI of my head to check my
pituitary gland. I don't do MRI's. So he prescirbed Valiumn. 10 mg. Went in for my
MRI and the valiumn didn't work. Finally after an hour I talked myself into just trying to relax and get it done. Half way though they had to inject dye so they could check
my gland. I oh so hate the internet. Had dr appt on the 28th. I now have to go see
a specialist on the 25th of this month. Endocrine (sp) dr. So my pituitary is work
to much. So i can either have surgery or radiation. Don't care for either one.
I will know more on the 25th. So if you could please put me in your prayers.
I am so afraid of what he is going to tell me. This gland is nothing to mess with.
I have been having headaches since he took me off the thyroid meds and my vision is
getting screwy. I am just very thankful every morning when i wake up. THanks Everyone. Update to follow on the 25th.

I'm so sorry, Linda! It seems like when it rains, it pours. I hope they find out exactly what the problem is, and have an easy solution for it. Try not to worry too much. I will be praying for your health and peace of mind.

Linda...as always you're in my prayers. Not sure when a good time to call you is, but I'm going to take my chances. Stay strong and lean on Him for that strength.

So sorry, Linda.

You mentioned that your pitutary gland is working too much......did you mean your thyroid gland? If so.....I have a friend that had trouble with her thyroid gland being too high.......it causes a lot of high energy. The doctors went in and did something to make it stop working and put her on low thyroid medicine. I think that it's easier to deal with a low thyroid than a high thyroid.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I know that it's a worry but in the end, I think, that you're going to feel so much better. If this is what they're doing then it will take a while to get your meds regulated but not too long. Hugs!! Love ya'!! And I'll be praying!!!

Thanks again girls. I am okay. Dr did an ultrasound on my thyroid. He said the labs that i had my blood tests done at (our hospital) were not done right. So i go back in 2 months and have another blood test done at a different lab. He changed my meds. SO keeping my fingers this works.

That's great news! Why couldn't they have just done them right so you wouldn't have to worry!
