As you all know I sold my little chocolate Izzie to TLC's (Nicole) parents. I still miss her, but know she is having a great life with them. So...besides my Golden Retriever and 3 Yorkies, I can't make up my mind what to do.

I have always wanted a Chihuahua. My best friend had one and I just loved that little guy and he loved me too. Anyway...MY preference are the smaller Chi's and Yorkies. I don't know whether to start looking for a Chihuahua or wait until Emilee and Gidget have a litter and keep one of their babies.

Emilee will be going into heat sometime next month and Gidget in January. I just can't decide what to do. I guess I don't really need someone to tell me...I know I want a Chihuahua, but I would also like to keep one of the babies.

When I had Izzie here, I thought 4 Yorkies was just too many, but now I feel like one is missing. Oh decisions, decisions, I guess I could just wait until the babies are born and decide then. But like everything else, when I want something, I want it now....LOL

aww that's too bad that you got rid of Izzie.
I think that you should wait until the babies are born to make up your mind
like if there aren't any puppies that would really fit in your already big family, then you should look for a chi.

wow 5 dogs, I can barely handle my 1 yorkie, she just makes a mess everywhere!!!

No it really isn't too bad. They love her a lot and she will have the best life ever in nice warm Arizona. I couldn't ask for better people to have her. They are wonderful. I just meant I had her for 9 months and even with the ones I have, I feel like one is missing now. All are in the house too, but they do really well. I think you're right though, I'd probably better wait and see when the litters are born. I still want a Chihuahua though. I must be absolutely crazy!!!!

I agree with Miss Sara. I would wait and see how I felt about keeping a puppy before I added a chihuahua. That way you wouldn't be adding 2 dogs to your family.

I can't imagine have 3 yorkies!! I have one and he's sooooo spoiled. He wants held all the time. He'll dance around in front of me wanting me to sit down so I can hold him. If I had three, I'd never be able to get anything done!!!!

I thought about getting a second Yorkie... But My baby is doing so well...Completly potty trained and sleeps through the night and is really well behaved... What if getting another messes chewy up!!! I am gonna wait! Chewy is only 7 moths old!

Like everyone above said, i would wait for a litter and see what you want then. I would not add a Chi till after the babies are born and raised.
I have 2 yorkie girls, i would not add a third because i would not want to upset the apple cart, they do so so well together, they almost like twins, they do everything together. Where the one is there the other one will be, but if i was given a choice like you, i would definatly have another yorkie :p

I've pretty much decided to wait on the Chihuahua, unless one just happens to fall into my lap..LOL I enjoy my Yorkies so much..most of the time. They are so funny and get to running all around. Whenever I do sit down to watch TV thought they all have their place. I'll sit in the recliner and Gidget is on my right, Emilee on my left and Joey on my legs. There are two other people in this house, but I'm the one they sit with. Guess my little babies love Mommy as much as she loves them.:)

I'd check out the Chi's. I love the Yorkies we have, and would like to have a 3 to 4 lb Biewer, but it would be really nice to have short hair dog. Chase and Zoe have long coats. I just don't like the shorter cuts on Yorkies, my personal taste, nothing against anyone with short coats on their furbabies. Chi's are so cool. How much do they cost? I've heard the tiny ones are really pricey just like the tiny Yorkies, but haven't researched the breed very much.

Best wishes with your decision!!
