View Full Version : Rockerfeller Center
Well ladies, tonight was the tree lighting ceremony to start the Christmas Season. I don't know if you get it in your areas. But it is beautiful, it is hosted in New York City and has been for the last 75 years. They set up so beautiful and have entertainers singing Christmas songs. At the end of the show they light the tree which was donated from a family from Ct. and is 85 ft. tall. There was about 100,000 people there tonight.
If anyone ever gets a chance to go to NYC during the holidays go to Rockerfeller Center. There is so much to see and all the dept. stores are decorated and of course you must go see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. There is so much to do and see.

I'm watching it right now, it ends in 5 minutes
the performance with Sasha Cohan and Christina Aguilera was great
but she should've done one of the songs off her old christmas album
it'd be so much more appropriate!
(you could tell at the end that Sasha Cohan was like a fan of Christina's)

I have always wanted to visit New York. It sounds so beautiful with so many things to see and do. I would have to have it done by a travel agent though, I have no idea how to go about seeing all the wonderful sites. It will be a few years down the road though, right now finances just don't allow for a trip too far and for too long. Maybe someday!

It sounds like it was really nice. I can't imagine 100,000 people gathered together!!! I live in a community of 2,600!!! I, too, would like to go to New York some day, but sadly I'll never get my husband to go. He's not too fond of being around a lot of people. He likes wide open spaces!!
Janet , Diana! When you want to make the trip let me know and I will meet you in the city and take you around....
