Last year, we purchased my husband's boss a gift certificate booklet to the local movie theater and did the same for my boss.

My husband thought we should do that again for his boss. Is it okay to repeat the same gift?

Also, my boss and his wife welcomed their first child just two weeks ago. I plan to send a little something for their little girl, of course, but I was thinking Blockbuster gift card for them since they probably won't be ready for a night at the movies for quite a while. What do you all think?

In years past, I'd purchased my boss personal items that he would like, but I've gotten to know his wife and like to include her.

Then, of course, I still have to come up with an idea for my other boss. She's a wonderful lady, and I love visiting with her. One year I got her a lovely angel wall item and last year was a beautiful jigsaw puzzle (which she loves). Have to think some more on her for this year...

How about a gift certificate to someplace to eat?

If they like Chinese there's P.F. Chang's on, it's either 21st street or 13th street on the east side of Wichita.

Or there's Kobe's, it's on Central Street and it's a Japanese restaurant where they cook the food in front of you. Kobe's is one of our favorite places to eat when we come out there. There's another Japanese restaurant that's a lot like Kobe's and it's called Kyoto's. It's not too far from Kobe's.

Gift certificates for dinner are always good ideas.

I've only been in my position for 3 months, so it's going to be hard to find something for both of my bosses... maybe I'll have to go with the gift certificates this year also.

I LOVE to give gift certificates to Boaders Book Store. If the person doesn't like to read they can get music, a calender, coffee... I think a book of their choice is a really nice gift. Myself I go to the Art section or the Christian section!!!! Soooo much fun! :wink2:
