Yes. I have had breast augmentation twice. A piece of advise I can give is "DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!"

The first time was awful - I didn't do my homework/research and I suffered from it.

The second time has been a positive experience and I have no regrets.

If I had the funds I would get lypo on my tummy and bottom half in a heart beat!

I doubt id ever have anything done on my face as that makes me too nervous.

It's just very difficult watching what the aging years is doing to my body. UGH!

thanks river mom...i have done alot of research on breast aug. and i have my doc. picked out-he is the craniofacial specialist who did reconstructive work on my daughter.anyway he is expensive though. there is another doc. that is closer to my hometown and he is about 1500$ cheaper but i am thinking i would rather go with the doc that i know and trust even though he is four hours away from my hometown. is it too personal for you to tell me what size you went with? my hubby wants me to have a full D but i only weigh 105 and am 5'3..i'm scared that will make me too top-heavy for my frame plus i'd be scared i'd be knocking stuff over with them!:p

Your body size is very small so i honestly feel a "D" size would be too large. You have to remember also...The weight of your "new twins". The heavier they are the more chances they will sag. I dealt with this my first go around. I had a size D (not by my choice but the doctor's) and they were not implanted under the muscle which they SHOULD be. So within a year I had HUGE saggy "D's".

Now I am a full C and happy. This time around the implants were placed within the muscle, huge difference! I am 5'7 and 140 lbs. Also, when I had the size "D's" it's like they were not part of me, it's hard to explain. All people could see were THEM, I became very insecure, not to mention they didn't flow w/ the rest of my body. I also started dealing w/ neck and back pain because the twins were just TOO DARN BIG.

IMO you would be fine w/ a full C. Also, from my dealings with plenty of doctors most for some odd reason always want to make the "twins" very large. Don't let them talk you into this. Make sure you explain that you want the size to match your body.

In reference to cost, if you find that you totally can trust your doctor and have excellent communication it is worth the extra cost. This type of surgery is really not something you'd want to cut corners with. Your body, health, and your peace of mind is worth every penny.

Good Luck! :)

Breasts were done in 2001. I went from an "A" to a full "C", small "D". They went through my arm pits and left the breasts untouched. VERY painful. I think I was on everything but Morphine. Had a "Valium Cocktail" right before surgery and lost 3 days. Could not remember ANYTHING. REally strange.

I bruised pretty badly and it took MONTHS for me to not have that "fire shooting out of my nipples" sensation. I have an area about the size of a quarter under each breast that is completely numb. Doctor said they don't damage nerve endings...just bruise them but heck after 5 years, you'd think the bruised endings would have healed.

Looking back, I would have gotten a small "C". I get back aches now every once in a while...but I love them!

oh my...i've never heard of fire from the nipples...ouchie!!! i've heard of numbness and problems breastfeeding-but i've already had my babies and now have my tubes tied so don't have to worry about that anymore. i am wanting to go to a full "c" myself.....i think my hubby is just boobie-crazy which baffles me to no end why he ended up marrying me the flat- as- wood self. i live in a small town and am kind of nervous because everybody will know i had them done...if you sneeze people on the other side of town say bless you that's how small our town is!!! other than the stuff mentioned before ya'll have had no problems? my mom is against it, she says I don't need them-with her DD self!!! everybody on both sides of my family have huge ones so i feel left out boo-hoo! i'm scared my mil will never speak to me again if i get them because she always says to fix the house or buy another car, etc.,etc. but when do i get to fix me? my hubby says to get them done and he will deal with her....i'm not sure if i will get them done in the next few months but hopefully by this time next year i will have them finally!!! i have been planning on getting them and have money saved up but always have to use it for something else like paying bills or x-mas or birthday presents etc.

If YOU want to get them done and your hubby does, then do it. Forget what people say...especially your MIL. I wish my MIL would stop talking to me! LOL!

Well, if she makes ugly comments to you about how you should have spent the money, simply tell her, "Go tell your son that! He actually loves my new boobs and wanted me to get them!" ALWAYS twist it back around on them!;)

Oh, I can't wait to get my boobs done! My friend is 5'3" and she just got her boobs done. She got a full C and she REALLY wishes they were bigger. She is getting them redone soon to have them bigger. I mean, if you are going to pay that much money for boobs, you might as well get BOOBS, if you know what I mean. :p I'm 5'3" and 110lbs and when I get my boobs done, I'm getting a D. I can't wait.

I'm scared of any other kinds of plastic surgery. I'm only 22, and I'm taking EXTRA good care of my skin, especialy my face, now so I won't have to do anything too painful later. Maybe some botox here and there, but nothing invasive.

Question...has anyone gotten their boobs done through their belly button?? My hubby is a surgeon, but not a plastic surgeon, and he says that it is less painful to go through the belly button compared to the arm pits because they don't have to go through so much tissue. They just go straight up through your hollow chest cavity to your boobs. My friend that I spoke about in my previous post got hers through the arm pits, but I want to get someone's opinion who went through the belly button.

ain't no big thing...i gotta nose job last year and they gave me some happy juice and when i woke up i had NO pain at all during the recovery so i guess that was $$ wasted on pain pills. I had a friend who had her boobs reduced and she said that hurt a little bit...i guess it would depend on your body frame and how much muscle tissue they has to work under...plus they give you some kick-ass pain meds. and you can lay there and look at your new titays all day!!!:D

i haven't gotten mine yet but i am a major fan of dr. 90210-do ya'll watch that show...he usually does it through the belly button if he feels the body frame is right for it.

Oh yes!!!!! Dr. 90210 is one of my very FAVORITE shows!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!!! He prefers the belly button, but I have seen him do it through the armpits AND through the nipple.

Haven't had a boob job, but had a lump removed, and the surgeon planned to go through the edge of the nipple to reduce scarring. The lump was in the right edge of my right breast, so I suggested that he take a direct route under my arm instead. I wasn't worried about a scar. Well, I'm sharing this because the surgery was done in March of this year, and the scar is still red and tender. I think this area is more sensitive than even the edge of the nipple. If they will do your surgery through the belly button or the nipple, I'd suggest you go that route. I've had two lapriscopes through the belly button, and they healed very quickly.

By the way, I'm naturally a good B cup and don't plan an enhancement, but if you and your husband want it, I'd go for it. Not sure about a D or DD though. My mother was a D, and they were very heavy. She had grooves in her shoulders from the straps. My grandmother was 4'11" and a DDD. She suffered due to their size. She died before breast reduction was possible, but she wanted to have some of hers removed. Somehow, the gene skipped me, and actually I'm glad. My husband says more than a handful is a waste ;). Both my daughters are C's which is about right.

i've had surgery scars that were tender and red too so i always always always used neosporin with the pain reliever even after the stitches closed up and vitamin e oil- i am very pale skinned (red head) so i always tried to keep my scars from being as noticeable as i could. my hubby says more than a mouthful is a waste but then he wants me to go D or DD....men!!!:p My mil is 4'9 ans she is very petite but very curvaceous-DD she wants to have hers reduced also because they have started to make her back hurt but i know she won't do it because she just isn't into that type of thing. she is 51 years old and is gorgeous-like a little pocket venus-girl she still wears a kini to the beach-i've never worn a bikini in my life!!! she be rocking the beach in her swimming suit-me and my mom are so jealous...she is ALWAYS put together....even when she's cleaning house or mowing the yard she looks good!:D BTW the doc is putting it through the nipple-said it would be about three stitches on each one and he only goes under the pec muscle...he also said there might be drains if need be.....i want to get them so bad but now we have to get my hubby a truck so i don't have to drive him 6 hours down south for him to get on the heliport down south and have to drive down ther amnd pick him up also.....i am not a big fan of driving in strange places.

I have red-head type skin, too. Maybe that's why this scar is still tender. I've had lots of surgeries, and this is the longest it has taken for a scar to fade, but my bra rubs this one, too, so that's probably part of the problem. Will try the vitamin E.

Hope this all works out, for you!!

My mom had a boob job & they went in through her arm pit. Hers were soooooo swollen for a few weeks after. They were HUGE! She wanted a C & it's about 5 years later & they are a DD still. She loves them though. I still remember the next morning she was still drugged up & talking crazy! It was so funny! She said something to the effect of "they made me take out my earrings or they weren't going to let me play softball!" hahaha! So funny!:D

I want to get a tummy tuck & boob lift once I have my last baby. I have 1 now & want 1 more. I'm so scared though. Not about the pain or the surgery, but about going "under" & not coming back!

I had a "Lifestyle Face Lift" on July 12, 06. I went back on Friday to have a touch up because the surgeon left a pucker under my chin! The first surgery went really well, but I had horrible bruising and swelling. The touchup has been OK so far, the bruising takes a day or so to reach it's peak and I don't think it 's going to be so bad this time. When I had the original surgery on the 12th, I also had my upper eyelids done and my neck muscles tightened. I'm very happy with the results and get compliments all the time and I'm not even completely healed yet!

They cut around my ears beginning at the temple in front and went down and around the back of my ears. He pulled the muscles and skin up and tightened them, then made an incision under my chin and did extensive lipo in the neck area. I will actually have a jaw line when I finish healing. The neck tightening procedure is called platesma (sp) He actually cut out a football shape in the muscles in the front of my neck and sewed the edges back together to tighten the area. I didn't have any wrinkles before, so that was not the problem. I had a double chin that I've wanted to do something about for years. My husband and I went to a surgeon several years ago who basically reduced me to tears with his attitude and I just got up and walked out of his office. The surgeon in Atlanta was wonderful! I'd recommend the Lifestyle Lift to anyone!

WOWSERS!!!!! That's pretty impressive.

When I had mine done (2 hours from home), I remember the doc telling me he was giving me a valium cocktail. I remember getting sick in the hotel room later that night (Friday) and taking off the bandage where the IV went in...ended up ripping some skin off with that one.

I remember going in on Saturday morning to get fitted for my bra. Eating some Carl's Junior that evening and throwing it back up.

Remember part of a phone conversation on Sunday and going back to work Monday morning. Felt drunk till Monday afternoon.

Guess you could say that I had some sort of reaction to the valium because seriously, with the exception of what I put in this post...I don't recall anything else.

As soon as I finish paying off the credit cards (year or so), I plan on getting a set of hooters! I'm a B cup, so there's something there, but I'd like to be a good D. Hubby always argues with me, says I want it so more guys will look at me, so NOT true. I think bigger boobs would just help balance out the rest of me!

My first go around with my BA was w/ the "belly button" procedure. NOT HAPPY. I really think the implants should be placed under the muscle as it's less chances of sagging. I did not have one good experience with this type of procedure whatsoever.

When I got pregnant I was a B or a PADDED C ! LOL Of course when I got pregnant they grew! Of course when I nursed they grew even more. A year went by and we stopped nursing. The damage??? DD . Here I am 9 years later and I have lost some of my weight but the boobs STAYED!! Trust me You don't want D's ! They get in the way of SOOOO much. I can walk down stairs fast because they bounce all over. I can no longer run unless I have a industrial strength sports bra on!!!!:D Of course my husband LOVES them. That's no shocker! You should really think about this long and hard first. Get more opinions on the subject from women who have "big ones" I think a nice C wouldn't be too bad. I honestly don't think I would go any larger. You should also look at your clothes. You tops will no longer fit if you go to a D.You will also end up buying new and BIGGER clothes to accomodate your new boobs! Anyway... Goodluck on whatever you choose!

I was going to say similar things. I am naturally a 32DD (not a bra they make). I grew my boobs the summer between my Junior & Senior year in high school I went from flat as a board to D's (not pleasant) the whole school was sure i had a boob job I did not I was just a late fast bloomer. Just so you know some of the problems of large boobs.

1. Cute bras do not come in bigger than a C cup
2. Even when you find a bra that looks okay & fits you often get spillage out the tops & sides
3. You can't go without a bra ever
4. Running hurts like you would not believe
5. You will no longer have a head when you talk to men
6. You can no longer wear cute tight little tees or anything with an empire waist
7. Gravity is a bitch
8. Cute bikinis that fit are hard to find
9. Pain in back & neck (I been going to a chiropractor every other week since I was 21 and still have pain)

I guess that's all. As soon as I make a decision on whether or not I'm having kids I am going to have them reduced to a nice C & lifted, cute bras here I come. Put it this way I have been bra shopping lately & it has been very disappointing. Nothing fits & what does fit look like grandma bras :(. Just make sure you think about your lifestyle & clothing style & what will look good with your body before you make a decision on size. Bigger is not always better.

One of the reasons I want a breat augmentation is because I want to be able to go without a bra. My boobs are so ugly...rather pointy. I cannot go ANYWHERE without a bra. I cannot wear those cute backless shirts or shirts that cut low. I cannot even wear cute PJs without feeling uncomfortable. :( I always end up in a large Tshirt and shorts. I want to be able to wear cute PJs for my hubby and actually fill the top of the PJs out without having a bra on!

I agree. I am going to have to do some more research before I get mine done. I am so petite, so I know that going too big is not going to look right. I'm just worried about going too small, you know? My friend is petite like me and she just got hers done...she got a full C. She wants them bigger. I agree that she could be bigger. So, I dunno. I am going to have to see when that time comes, which will be awhile! :D

I'm a DD with ya' sista-girl! I have permanent impressions in my shoulders from my bra straps... and forget about pretty or colored bras... I did see a rerun of Oprah yesterday where they were showing how to buy bras and they had some pretty bras for big boobs... don't know where you can buy them, though... no where that I know of.

If I wasn't such a weenie, I'd get mine reduced. My girlfriend had it done and says it was no big deal.... but then she also gave birth to twins...
