It is sad how things are taken away from the Christians because of some group that doesn't believe in the same principals. I could go on all day on this subject.:(

I used to work for a credit card company and we were forbidden to say merry Christmas or any other holiday either we were only allowed to say happy holidays or if they said it first we could say it back i am so sick of some people ruining everything my son is in 1st grade and they won't let them dress up for Halloween because it offends some people(the nerve) well it offends me that i can't enjoy the holidays because of a few rotten people!!!

At our school they are still letting them be called Christmas parties, but Halloween is called a Harvest Party and no more dressing up.
We use to be able to send cupcakes or cookies for birthdays and parties, but now it's not allowed either. Trying to do the healthy thing for the kids. I'm glad my son is in high school now, so I don't have to get upset over this stuff.

Oh yes...I agree totally...the homemade stuff is scary, but cakes and cookies can be bought, but they don't allow those anymore either. Like I said, I'm just glad they don't do parties and such in high school.
I'm not real big on pitch-ins either...ya just don't know how clean the kitchens are of some people. I know....I'm picky!!!:)

Isn't our world going nuts!!! We can't say what we want, we can't celebrate the way we want. We have to worry about offending someone. There is no tolerance in this world any more. There are some things that we should not tolerate, but we need to not get so hung up on the small stuff. After all we are supposed to live in the "home of the brave and the land of the FREE". Just because we don't agree on everything does not mean we should not tolerate one another and be friends. I mean after all, who do you agree with 100% on anything??? Diversity makes things interesting. If we were all alike, our world would be very boring.

I hate it too. I don't think I have had one person in the public say Merry Christmas to me this year. It makes me sick to be quite honest. When my daughter was in Kindy they had a "havest" party. I made pumpkin suckers for everyone. They were just as cute as they could be. I had the pumpkin molds. They didn't have a scary face either. As a matter of fact it was a smiley face. There was one girl whose family didn't celebrate halloween. SO I had to make her just a plain oval orange sucker!! I just don't get it! I think it is really sad what this world has come too.
As a matter of fact it made me so mad that I refuse to donate to the Salvation Army this year! Sounds bad but I did my part this year. I bought gifts for 4 kids this year. One was a Salvation Army tree angel and the other 3 are kids who prob won't get much of anything this year.
EVERYTIME I go by the workers ringing the bell they say Happy Holiday. Now if I go by one and they say Merry Christmas I will give some money.I will also tell them why! I know it sounds bad but that is how I feel.
Here in my town they are trying not to offend all of the illegals walking around. I have already posted my feelings on that issue so I won't go there now! Sadly it doesn't even feel like Christmas this year. The stores seem to be slowly packing up the Christmas. It just feels really weird for some reason..
