Hubby and I have had a long-standing agreement about church. He didn't go. He had organized religion shoved down his throat so badly by his parents in such a self-serving way, that as an adult he chose to stay far away from it. I've pretty much let it go rather than risk making him feel I'm force feeding it to him as well.

Amazingly, on a whim, I asked dh if he would go to church with me on Christmas eve and he's agreed! I am really looking forward to it! I've always loved the 10 pm service and he was never there, so this will be a welcome change. We will go to the church where I was baptised 52 yrs ago.

I just HAD to share my good news!

That's AWESOME news!!!! Maybe the Christmas Eve service will be powerful enough for him to start going to church on a regular basis! Keep us updated!

YAY!! That is great!!

My husband is the same way, won't go with us. But the other day he said he might go occassionally...we just stopped asking him to go with us. Maybe we will ask him to go with us on Christmas eve too!

That is wonderful news!!! I am so happy for you...:)

What is it with most men? My husband never goes either unless it's Easter or Christmas...and even then...not every year.

That's really good news, Tink. Maybe he'll decide to start going with you all the time. I know that you can't be too pushy about these things. My Dad hardly ever went to church with my Mom and it was a very touchy subject to bring up.

I can't imagine NOT having my husband with me at church. He even goes times when I stay home. Our family is very involved in what goes on at church with being Sunday school teachers, children's church teachers, on the praise and worship team, soloists, and my husband is on the church board. We just presented a Christmas play a couple of weeks ago and 8 members of my family were involved it it.

I don't mean to make it sound like we go only because we are involved in things. We go because we love the Lord and we want to hear His Word.
