I want to say that my son had no idea about getting a laptop for Christmas. He was soooo surprised. He is one happy 16 year old boy. It made me happy to see him so excited!! That is the only reason I enjoy Christmas....watching him be surprised.
He's been on it quite a bit today, but that's okay...it's Christmas. He's been able to try some new things, that I wouldn't let him try on mine. He also knows he can only be on it in the same room as his father and/or I. He's a great kid, so I don't think I have anything to worry about....but we're not taking any chances.

How neat that you could completely surprise him:) It's so hard to do today. That's a great gift by the way!

We love giving him gifts at Christmas. It's not that we can't afford to give him things during the year, but we didn't want him spoiled like some kids. So we mostly got him things that he needed and he really didn't need much during the year.
At Christmas we would sometimes (most of the time..LOL) go overboard. He would have soooo many presents to open. I think this year was the fewest in numbers that he has ever gotten, but he understood once he opened that laptop...LOLOL He had no idea it was coming!!

Doesn't it make you feel good to know that you've gotten them something that they really wanted? I sounds like you did a really good job this year on his gift.
We, too, cut back on the number of gifts that our girls, that are still at home, got. They understood when they opened them up and had gifts that were more expensive than usual.
Well done Janet! I'm glad your son is enjoying his gift so much. It's hard to beat putting a smile on our kids faces, isn't it?

Yes, he would have. He loves it and keeps thanking me. My son really appreciates anything he gets...it makes me really proud. So if there is any way that I can surprise him....I'll try my best!!:)
