Who likes wine? I have to admit I really like wine. My husband once a year will order me a few different wines from around the world. I also have a few wine books.
Just an FYI that I recently learned. One of the reasons that you swirl the wine around in your glass is for the smell. Pour a glass of wine and smell it. Then swirl it a bit and smell again. The difference is AMAZING! I have found that we mainly like the white wines.
SO do you drink wine and if so what kind do you like?

We love wine my hubby is more of a red wine drinker but I prefer white as red makes me sleepy.
Give me an expensive or cheap and I cannot tell the difference so I always go for the cheapest around ?4 a bottle. Or I go for what the bottle looks like found one the other day called 'Old Git' hubby loved it;)

Funny to see a thread about wine....One of the things I bought my oldest son for Christmas is a wine making setup. He has talked about making some for the longest time and I figured if he got the set maybe he wouldn't blow his house up:p

I've tried a few different wines a long time ago, but never really enjoyed the taste. Guess I'm just a Bud Light kinda gal.

I drink wine on occasion when it is offered to me but I never buy it. My friend's mom makes great homemade wine and I have a glass with her family whenever I visit. I'm kind of having a little wine dilemma at the moment which is what brought me to this thread. I'm going to my boyfriend's parents house this weekend for ukranian christmas and I want to take down a bottle of wine as a thank you for the christmas gift they got me. I just have no idea what to get! My boyfriend is no help either since he hates wine and has no idea what his parents like. Does anyone have suggestions?

Wow. That would be tough. I would look around your area and see if there are any stores that might sell domestic and imported wines. There will also be someone there to help you out. Good luck.

Are you kidding? Wine is my best friend!!! It's always there for me, never talks back, and is always on my side!! It's my "angel juice" as a dear friend of mine puts it!! :D

I went with shiraz from the advice of a friend who bartendered in a fancy restaurant :) He told me he can't stand wine but he likes shiraz. Plus it wasn't too expensive, since I'm still on my student budget until my paychecks start coming in :D I was hoping someone would be there to help me but the only person i saw working was the cashier who was busy. Oh well, I don't think they'll tell me they hate it!

I think I have found my drinking twin! I love red wine and "it is good for you, you know?" My SIL and I drink wine when we are together and always buy each other gifts that are wine related. She recently bought me a wine glass that holds a whole bottle of wine. And it is imprinted," I am only going to have one glass"! My favorites are the fruity tastes and I am a freaky one that likes only cold wine. Unless I am with a "Glitzy" group, I always add ice to my wine. Nothing is better for a nightcap than a glass of wine and a xanax! I sleep like a baby!!LOL
(but really I'm not an alcoholic or druggie!)

I love wine!!! I really like the blushes and red sweet wines.:)
I love white wine, I drink Pinot Grigio, or Chardonnay. This type of wine is on the dry side so you have to acquire a taste for it, but once you do you will love it.
