 I was waiting impatiently for a year to go by since my last period so I could declare myself officially through menopause. Then nasty old Aunt Flo had to come for a visit. :( Arggggggg now I'm back to square one in the countdown.

I would appreciate not going for a whole year!!!! So don't get too upset over it. I'm ready for that part of my life to come to an end too.

I can relate. I am 54 and was still having "my friend" every month. I asked my doctor when I could expect to stop since I had been doing this since I was 10. She just laughed and said that she would guarantee me that I would quit before I was 60. I scowled at her! LOL Well I finally had my last "friendly visit" in May of last year, so I am also on the year countdown. I had a few days of spotting when I put my dog of 15 years down last June. I didn't count that or when I spotted after a bad argument with my brother. I have always been affected by my emotions with my periods. So just keep good thoughts, it is sure to happen for us. I consider myself a holdout. I haven't taken any HRT, and am coping just fine. Now what my hubby would tell you might be something different all together. But I am still married!!LOL

Thanks DCollins.
Mine turned out to be more spotting than full blown period too thank goodness.
I just simply wish this done NOW. LOL

Listen to yall, complaining about getting periods, I gotta be on birth control just to have them!! :p

I'm sure that as time goes by I'll be annoyed by it, but for now I have a little party anytime I get visited by 'my friend,' sometimes she doesn't visit for months, I just wish I were regular, you would figure that after 9 years it would have stabilized...
