There's a saying that the difference between involvement and commitment is like the difference between a chicken and a pig to breakfast. The chicken is involved, but the pig is committed. When it comes to life, which are you, a chicken or a pig?

I believe at this stage in my life, I am definately a pig...I am committed. I am still very young and there are just so many things I want to accomplish in my life and I am definately committed to making as many of those things happen that I can. Some days, however, I feel like I'm the chicken. I just want to plop down on the couch and just be involved for one day and not committed. *Sigh*

I'm probably a little of both but more of a pig. I'm a homebody, so it's hard to get too involved....:)
I used to be more of a pig, but recently I've pulled back and become much more of a chicken. I don't have the energy or desire to be involved in the amount of stuff I was when my kids were in school, sports, etc. I figure after 33 yrs of raising kids, it's my time to just step back and take care of myself finally.

I'm a pig.. have to be ... as it is I am not very self discplined.. I get distracted and I am not a very patient person... but my goal for 2007 is to be as committed as possible and finish school and enjoy all of my hard work.... ahhhhhhhhhhh.....

Good thread, welcome back, Rebecca, we missed you!!
So you watch Grey's Anatomy, too.....(loved it when George was trying to talk to Torres about this concept)
I used to be called a bulldog once I got hold of something I did not let go until it was finished. So about some things at least, I'm a bit piggish. However, I am a chicken about other things. Guess I'm a bit more complex than either on of these common barnyard animals. Maybe I'm a chipig? If I had photoshop, I'd try to create one. :D
