If you could build yourself the perfect job, what would it be?
Think in terms of hours, duties, pay, travel, routine, etc... the skies the limit!

When my husband starts his own medical practice, I would like to run the business aspect of it. That way, I would work for myself, have lots of interaction with the public, get to spend time with my hubby during the day, ect. I also want a lot of children (4+) and this job would allow me to basically have my own hours so I would be able to spend time with my children. Hubby and I have really talked seriously about me doing this. My law degree will definately come in handy for this job, yet I wouldn't have a high-stress job like most attorneys have.

Wow! Great minds DO think alike!!!!!!!! :p :p :p I hate it when people refer to me as a "doctor's wife." I promise it is not as fun or glamorous as people perceive it to be, I can assure you of that!

What kind of medicine does your hubby want to go into?

Tink that one is so hard, especially at my age. I would somehow like to take care of dogs, the smaller breeds for the most part, but maybe the larger ones too. I would like to groom and do everything for them. I wish I had the space or another building to doggie sit.

Oh and I would be happy sitting on a throne directing everyone around me too....LOLOL:D

LOL Janet... that throne could be comfy for sure.

There's a job opening at the local vets office right now here. I've been SO tempted to apply. I really enjoy working with animals and their people. What's held me back is that I doubt it comes with med ins and that's a major issue here. I still might give it a try tho... just 'cause it sounds like such a fun job compared to where I'm at right now.

Can you tell I need a new attitude about my current job? LOL
I'm getting more and more fed up with my managers snippy attitude and the whole deal. He has me driving 40 miles tomorrow to work in a different branch so I'll get a taste of what it's like to work under more pressure and speed. Yep that's JUST the ticket for someone who's already looking for a way out! I go back there again on Tuesday and then have to attend meetings all day on Wednesday even farther from home.

I can't decide if he knows how I'm feeling and just wants to push me over the edge, or if he's so clueless that he doesn't see it. Either way, the end result is the same. It just pushes me farther in wanting to find a different job. Too bad we live so far apart... we could have a blast doing a boarding/grooming business together.
