I must be have been cared for more by my mother-in-law than I thought. She had told my sister-in-law (her daughter) that she wanted me to have all her clothes. She gave me quite a few things when she and I cleaned out her closet to take to the nursing home. The rest were taken to the nursing home or stored.

Vivian loved clothes and most are very beautiful, dressy and nice. Some are still beautiful, but casual. We wore pretty much the same size, I will need to take some weight off for some of them, but I was so moved by my mother-in-law wanting me to have them. I was never the shopper and hated trying clothes on, which I always have to do. She knew this and now she has left me this beautiful wardrobe. It means a lot to me and know that when I wear something of hers, I'll have a little more of her with me.

This will also give me a little more incentive to take some weight off. I've always wanted to lose the weight, but also thought "then I'd have to buy new clothes." Well now I have the new clothes...so I'm gonna really try to lose some so that I can fit into the one that are a little small yet.

Sherly has said it best, just want to add that sometimes people don't know how to show their love, but that doesn't mean that they don't love you. Vivian did love you :)

I always knew she did, or at least I felt she did. I'm so glad to have her clothes. That way when I wear them, I can kind of feel her with me. I don't know how to explain it, but to some it might seem kind of "weird" to wear someones clothes after they've passed, but it makes me feel good. I still have my dad's flannel shirt that he wore around the campfire when we were camping when I was younger.

That was very thoughtful of Vivian. How nice to know that she was thinking of you! I understand wearing her clothes. I have a blouse that belonged to one of my grandmothers and I have several of Mark's shirts that I wear.
