Today is my final day off before I have to go back to work. I was hoping to just be able to relax before I go back.

My sons girlfriend is here, and while I like her, it's a pita to have guests when you just want to unwind. As if that isn't enough, Joel ended up babysitting for a little boy whose mother works with my daughter when her daycare provider wasn't home when she went to drop him off. So of course they brought HIM here too.

I wasn't asked if either of them could come here. They just kind of arrived.

I've asked the child a couple of times what his name is since no one seems to know... and each time he shows me 3 fingers. LOL Oh my... the funny thing is, he speaks fairly well otherwise.

Even though we want to be gracious, doesn't it just drive you nuts when our relaxation plans get messed up? I sometimes feel as you do now, when my husband and son are set to go camping with Scouts for the weekend and then something comes up and those plans are canceled. I already have my weekend planned and then I get a big whamo back to reality. I love them, but sometimes I just need that alone time. So girlfriend...I understand.

The little guys does sound cute though!!!:)

I know how you feel. I live in a "family"neighborhood and I never know when my granddaughters, neices, or nephews are going to show up. I keep hot cocoa always on hand for when they decide to "crash" here. Relaxation flys right out the window as soon as they show up!

Finding those quiet moments just to ourselves definitely are few and far between. Ugh...

But on the other hand all those w/ homes that people just "stop by" at sound like they love and enjoy being in your home to be in your company. That's great! :D

I love surprise guests, but we live so far out that most of the time people will call first to make sure we're home. I probably ought to thank my lucky stars...huh?:p
