I told you that last Sunday we had to buy and new TV and while we were out, my hubby wanted a laptop, so he bought one. He bought an Acer and it's very nice, but it has Windows Vista on it. It is really different. I was putting the AntiVirus on it for him and it says it's incompatible. It had a bunch of instructions on what to do to update it to Vista, but they were so complicated, I told him he would have to have the store (if they would) or someone else. I wasn't about to screw it up and let him blame me forever...I may not be the brightest bulb in the pack, but I'm not the dullest either...lol

Anyway, he left a little while ago to see if the tech where he bought it would put it on for him. We'll see. If they won't, he won't be a happy camper when he gets home. He is so anxious to be able to get on his new computer, like anyone would be, but he's having such a hard time. He is not very computer literae AT ALL. Yesterday was the first it was out of the box because we just didn't have time to set it up.

So keep your fingers crossed they are willing to help him, because if he comes home in a bad mood, I'm afraid I'll have to hit him over the head with the darn thing.....LOLOL

They were able to put the anti-virus on for him and all is well. Now he is learning how to use his new laptop. He has been wanting to learn for quite some time. There are some classes being offered at our Extension Office, so maybe it would help if he did that. I'll suggest it and see what he says.

I've heard Vista is a bit confusing and frustrating for people to install and get used to. I hope it works well for you.

I hope your hubby is able to get a grip on his new computer skills. Mine isn't computer literate and gets very frustrated when he decides to try to use it.

My hubby is far from being computer literate. I really don't know why he wanted one...LOL I set him up with an email account and he knows how to get to the boy scout web site (he's a leader). Not sure what else he needs it for, but I have his passwords in case I need to know...LOL:D

If you're wireless, you might find him out in the truck on his computer. ;) Just remembering an earlier thread.
