Hey girls... once again I need to vent.
My computer broke down last week. It was working fine wednesday night, but then it wouldn't start on thursday, saying it couldn't find the operating system. I decided to try again thursday night and it worked! So I decided to update my antivirus, remove a bunch of programs i don't use, and defrag. I left it going all night and when i woke up it had turned itself off and now it's done for. Every picture I have of my dog is on there, every picture i've taken in the past year is on there... all the pictures of every friend I left behind from my last year of school is on there, and now is gone forever. The hard drive is toast.
Then my boyfriend left on a snowboarding trip for the week. My bills are late. My dog puked twice on my dry-clean only comforter. My landlord came home early from his month-long vacation and wanted to collect rent last night. My brother who I live with has no money right now so I paid the full amount which is basically my whole paycheck, leaving me with $17 in my account and my boyfriend's birthday next week. My bills are still not going to get paid. And to top it all off, on my way to work this morning I crashed my car and was an hour and a half late.
I just got home and started bawling. I think my brother is home now so I'm gonna go have a look at the damage on my car.
Lindsey hon, I'm sorry life's not treating you well right now. It seems that rotten stuff tends to happen all at one time, making it hard to not let it get us down.
I hope your luck turns upward again very soon. Until then, please come vent to us as needed. According to an old story, "since women don't sweat, burp or fart, we have to vent or we'd just blow up!"
HUGS my prayers are with you!

Lindsey, don't toss your computer just yet. Take it to a computer specialist because they can get probably get your pictures back for you. Our computer crashed and it was the hard drive and a friend came over and saved what we needed to keep off of our computer. You may only have a certain area of your hard drive that's not working so don't give up hope yet.

Lindsey, so sad you are having a bad day. Diana is right, you may be able to retrieve your pictures. I had a harddrive crash & a technician come, replaced the drive and managed to save most of my files. It sure taught me a lesson on backing up files though. I know have a 150 gig external hard drive.
I know it's hard, but stop, take a deep breath and count your blessings. You still have a lot to be thankful for, and these problems will pass.

Thanks everyone, I always feel better after coming on here and having people being so supportive! I actually got my friend (okay, ex-boyfriend) to look at my computer. He took it home with him and worked on it all night. He's fixed my family's computers for us for the past 3 years, and he loves working on them. Unfortunately, he told me he can't even get the computer to recognize there's even a hard drive there, and it's making weird noises. He was going to see if his friend could take it to work (computer store) to look at it, but I haven't heard from him in a couple of days. If I can get my pictures off it for not too much money that would be great since I wanted to get a new computer in a couple months anyway. And I should be glad that it died now instead of 2 months ago when I was still in school and didn't have my 50-page final project report backed up anywhere :D
I'm still kind of upset about my car, but these things happen. At least the accident wasn't my fault, and nobody was hurt. The other woman was so apologetic and the first thing she said was "This was my fault" so I'm glad that if I had to T-bone anyone, it was someone like her!
My boyfriend is on his way home now. He's probably 2 hours away right now. He said he would pick me up and take me to his house and give me a ride to work tomorrow. My car is still driveable, but a big chunk of bumper is hanging down and dragging on the road so I don't want to drive it for now. My brother is going to break that off for me when he has time.
Thanks again for listening to me vent!

Sorry things have been so bad for you lately. It's hard not to get down when bad things seem to happen one right after another. Just keep a smile on your face and good things will come.:)

Sorry you had a bad week... seems these things happen all at once don't they.
Don't feel bad, i fried my desktop 2 days ago, so weird because the night before it worked no problem, it shut off like it normally does, next day i turned it on, and it couldnt find anything
My husband took me to a computer store last friday, and told me that i need a new one, but i like my old computer, i also have all my work on there, wedding pics, doggy pics, and work that i do for my husband "this will teach me to back up" i took my computer to the specialist yesterday to see if they can repair it, my brother said if they can't he will take the hard drive out, and put it in his computer, to see if we can save some of the files.
Right now i'm working on my laptop, but i don't like it, i much prefer my desktop.
Same day, i fried my convection microwave  it made these shooting noices LOL.... i could do nothing else, but stand there and laugh my head off! Wondering "what's next"

I got my computer back today. My friend put a new hard drive in it. Unfortunately, the power connection is screwed up now and it won't even turn on.
My boyfriend got back last night from his trip, but his truck wouldn't start last night so we couldn't see each other. He said he would pick me up this morning and give me a ride to work since I have no way to get there. I called him and woke him up this morning and he wasn't in a good mood. He got me to work and then halfway through the day said he couldn't pick me up because he had a hockey game tonight. I tried calling my brother but he got off work at noon today and was halfway to my parent's house, already an hour out of town. So I was stranded and ended up having to leave work early just so my boyfriend could pick me up and make it to his hockey game. I haven't even got a hug from him yet. I said I missed him while he was gone and well, pretty much, he was having too good a time to miss me. My back has been killing me all day and right now it's pretty bad so I might see a doctor tomorrow in case it got jolted in the crash or something. My boyfriend called me after hockey to see if I'd go play pool with him and his dad but I said I can barely move so he just went without me. I once again said I miss him and he said "I'll see you tomorrow"
I just feel like everything is falling apart. I'm crying so hard right now and I feel sick to my stomach.
