Thank you Gina for asking about my family. This is very kind of you. I myself have not had any, but my hubby and fur kids have. My husband does recall about two weeks ago having an upset stomach and not feeling well. However at the time he didn't even imagine it was related to food. He just thought it was something in the air. But he is perfectly fine now.
The fur kids had some also, little Scoobie snack as we call it, but they too are fine.
We watched World News Tonight and so far 288 cases have been confirmed linked to the bad peanut butter. This is what they know so far, I am sure it's more as many folks probably have not reported it. They just thought they had flu symptoms which is what the Samonila (sp) causes.
Thanks again! ;)
Sheryl Im glad to hear that your hubby and furbabies are ok.. I am sure you tossed the remainder....Speaking of babies we should post photos of our little furbabies..
Thanks for sharing this!
I was able to share this with someone tonight who is pregnant and had 3 jars of this peanut butter in her pantry!
How scary!

Isn't it a shame when something as innocent as peanut butter isn't safe???

Seems like hardly anything is safe anymore  . Something you've ate for years becomes contaminated. We use Jiff, so we didn't need to worry....yet!

It does seem somewhat concerning that the foods today can be such a hazard. It makes me wonder if it isn't the foods that are changing but the immune system in us humans that make it more difficult to fight bacterias that make us ill.

I agree! I seriously don't believe we're doing ourselves any favors by being so obsessed about germs and bacteria. We're turning our immune systems into wimps that will soon not know how to work to protect us.
We have Purell at all of our money handling stations at work, and I almost never use it. I figure all it's really going to do is dry out my hands and cause me regrets farther on down the road.
