Kinda a long story here....But the house/land down the hill from us is where we keep my horse Wildflower at. Well, the neighbors who rent the house gave notice to their landlord (who sold us the land we reside at now) today. (They will be moved out by the end of this month)

The owner stopped by our place today to tell us they were moving because "they have no use for my hubby and I". They actually hate us now because their dogs chased my horse into the barbed wire fence and now have to keep their dogs tied up. We called the police on them and were upset by the fact of their dogs not to mention the fact that their pit bull would chase my heels anytime I went out to the pasture. Not a safe situation!!!

So...The owner of the land says he is selling the house and land and we told him we want to buy it.

This is a perfect situation that hubby and I have been wanting for quite sometime now. Plus, the amount of land we are purchasing qualifies us for being called "farmers" so we get tax deductions on any farm related equipment. With this said, we will be purchasing some cattle, chickens, etc....My hubby says this "farming" will be a new business for me and my responsibility. WOW, how exciting.

So...Please keep your fingers crossed that this all works out for us and that soon we will own another house and more land. Not to mention that I will be allowed to call myself a "farmer" LOL.

What is kinda ironic is a young child growing up on a farm it was my responsibility to collect the chicken eggs each day. So often I brought back a bucket full of broken eggs because Id fall down. I always told my Mom "the chickens made me break the eggs!".

So...I will never forget this excuse just incase I bring back broken eggs from our little chickens on the "possible new farm". LOL :p

Oh and this house on the land that we really have no use for...We plan to rent it out. :D

How wonderful for you!!! I wish we had more land, but it's very doubtful the farming neighbors would ever sell. We do have a rental property in town and are looking to purchase another if a good deal comes along. Great investment ya know!!

Now you can choose who you want to have has your neighbor and they have to pay you to live there....LOL
