Ive had this hair for so long now, i want a change! Right now, it's below the shoulder reaching bra strap, blond, straight, thin, and i can do nothing nice with it, it just hangs, looks miserable! So ive been thinking of going short, one length.
Do you ladies ever feel hagged, bored with the way you look? I'm also thinking, shorter, would be a lot easier to wear in summer. I want this fresh summer look.

I just got my hair cut because of the breakup. I always feel I need to change when my life changes! If you have good bone structure in your face a short cut with a lot of layers would look awesome. It also makes thin hair look more full!

I agree with Lindsey that layering thin hair makes it look thicker. Mine has gotten thin with age, and wearing it one length now is self-defeating in that it just looks thinner and more lifeless.

I cut my hair off. It was at the bottom of my back & I cut it just below my ears. I love it. I still get bored with it alot but cutting it off was the best thing I've ever done with my hair. I have very thin, straight, limp hair. I have long layers in it to make it look fuller & easier to do something with. I also use a volumizing mousse. I have garnier fruitress's which I love . Wash, rinse, towel dry, mousse, then hang my hair upside down to blow dry. It works wonders. Hope that helps some =)

Mandy, I think I was born hagged and bored with the way I look....:tongue001:

I bet you'll look great. Find a style that you feel you would like in a magazine or online and take it with you.

I was suppose to get my hair cut and colored the last week of February, but I canceled because I didn't want to leave Emilee while she was getting close to her due date. It has grown so much, but I'm not sure if I want to go back to the same cut now that it is longer or even get it colored for the matter. If I don't color it, it will be completely gray. I just don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe we can change styles together......you go first....:winky2:

Oh, and Janet, i forgot to say... you were not born hagged, its just, we get bored with looking at the same face in the mirror everyday. Make yourself look pretty, i promise, you will feel a lot better with yourself! ;)

I've been thinking of when school is out (kids can be so truthful AND cruel) that instead of coloring my hair all the time....maybe I will get it frosted or something like that. Only two months till school is out...so I could just go for a nice trim to even things out right now and then do the "biggie" at the end of May.

By golly, I think I've just talked myself into it!!! And you helped!!

Nope, not yet, but I will Monday. I'm kinda of excited now to have it frosted. I've never done it before. I may even get the courage up to have it done before school is out......nah...who am I kidding.....those kids can be mean...

Janet ~ who cares what those kids on the bus say. Gosh they don't even have a clue what's in store for them. Awwww i laugh now just thinking about it! :)

Go get your hair frosted. By some new lip gloss and tell yourself you deserve it.

And.....Take pics for us too so we could see.

Mandy - Have you ever had a short cut before? How did you like it? I think short cuts look so clean and fresh. Especially those bobs you were talking about.

And it's so true what you said about looking in the mirror everyday and getting bored w/ what we see. So often we need a change of hair cut or make up to give us that little pick me up. It's amazing how just a little change makes such a huge difference in our attitudes! :happy026:

I will be making my appointment on Monday. Still not sure if I want to get it frosted before school is out. I just see so many more people than I do in the summer. That way if it doesn't look nice, not too many will see me.

I have considered going all gray, but people tell me I wouldn't look good, it would make me look old. SOOO I thought maybe if it was frosted, it would kind of get everyone use to it. I'm just tired of coloring it every 4 weeks because of the gray roots.

Also, I've worn it really short for a long time and since I had to cancel my appointment it has grown out so much. I may try this lenght for a little while. When I get my appointment set, I will talk with my hairdresser about frosting and see what she thinks too. She is such a good friend and will tell me honestly what she thinks. I'm getting really excited about the possibility of change.

NOW if I could only afford the LM make-up.....take it easy Janet....one thing at a time....LOL

Janet we all get tired of our haircuts, its naturally. I have always worn my hair shorter since I married. I am presently wearing a layered bob. I love it! so easy to take care of. I also dyed my hair from auburn to a cocoa brown. Sick of the reds lol so now I am back to the warm browns. I like yourself have gray hair coming in and I have to dye it at least 3 - 4 weeks. The gray on my hairline is out already! I hate it!!.. I was thinking of putting highlights for the summer. We shall see. Back to you try a layer bob I promise it will make your hair look fuller and you will love it!

With all you ladies talking about making hair changes now I want one too. LOL :D

They say that the short layered bobs are an ideal cut for longer faces. My face is long so....

I think this cut is cute. :p

That style is really cute, Sheryl. I have a chubby round face so it would not look good on me. I do like the length I have it now, so I may just have her trim it up just a little. Probably by the time it gets really hot I'll be ready to go short again. I do have a layered cut. I like it most of the time...just once in awhile, I need a little change.

I like it a lot! I have a long, thin face as well, so I may end up doing something similar. Thanks for the inspiration!!
