Drat!!!

:( I went to get on my computer this morning and it wouldn't load Windows! We have Dell support and I called them and after checking a few things out I was told that my hard drive is bad. I just had it replaced a few months ago. The computer's still running a test and then I'll know more about what's going on. I'm so bummed about it.:( :(

Right now I'm on my daughter's laptop but she's only home a couple of days a week, so I'm not sure how much I'll be on here. I may run next door to my other daughter's just to get my 4WT fix for the day!!

Oh Diana how awful. That is about the only thing now, that I would go in debt for. If my computer decided to take a poop, I would have to go get a new one. I can live without a lot of things, but I need my computer for 4WT and YT and a whole lot of other things.

I hope you can get it fixed quick or are able to get another one. Let us know what's going on with you okay?

Yee Haw!!! The Dell guy got me up and running!!!! They are miracle workers!! He said that I probably had a corrupted file but we were able to do a Windows installation thing and got it up and going again. He's going to check back with me next week and make sure that we're still up and running. I love having Dell support!!! They are great help!!!!

I can't tell you how much better I felt after he got me up and running because my husband keeps not just our farm records on here but also our church's tithe's and offerings. If I ever lose those I'm in BIG trouble!!

Make backups Diana, i learnt that a few weeks ago! My computer crashed on me, HD fried, i lost EVERYTHING!!! I had my husbands work on there, and fur kids pics, wedding pics, lots of things, worste thing is, all my fur kids pics are gone, cept the ones i loaded to photobucket.

Oh, that's awful!! I think I'd just cry if I lost all of the pictures on my HD. I'm so sorry. At least you were able to get some back through photobucket. But hey, now you have an excuse to take NEW pictures...and lots of them! :)

I love my Dell so much that when I got my son his laptop for Christmas I got him a Dell too. Ya just can't beat their support. They are so good about explaining everything and just plain good folk!!

If that ever happens to you again, take it to a professional. When your hard drive crashes it's only a "part" of it that crashes and sometimes information can be retrieved as long as it's not in that section.

Our computer crashed last fall (the hard-drive went out) and we had a computer friend come over and he was able to get all of our important info off of it. I know that it's best to back up, but my husband doesn't always do it. He did tell me this afternoon that he did have everything backed up except for one file.
