I'm definitely in class right now and on 4womentalk at the same time! Yes, I am addicted. lol. In my defense, this class is an ITV (instructional television) course and it's SO boring. My hubby and I are sitting in a classroom and there is a huge screen in the front where our professor is speaking from. He's in another room on campus and there are two classes in different cities watching as well (so four rooms total). We all have speakers so we can talk to the professor and answer questions any time we want. The great thing about this class is that you can completely goof off, or in my case, catch up with posts on 4wt!! :) I just wanted to share that with you... lol

LOL ~ You are so goofy. We'd better not hear you failing this class because of 4WT. (Oh I sound like your Mother)

It's a ridiculously easy course. I don't know how it can even count as college credit. Oh well, it takes care of my fine arts requirement... :)

Well, class is over now. YAY!

I loved my online classes. I just let them talking me into making a HUGE mistake. Don't ever try taking a full course load of accelerated classes online & think you can take care of 4 kids who were home all summer, a hubby & a house. It just doesn't work. That's why I'm not in school now. I fell way behind. Failed the online courses & lost my financial aid. Now we are trying to figure out how to get me back in school. I guess chalk it up to lesson learned.

Well, this class isn't really an online course. We meet twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for a little more than an hour. The only difference between ITV and a regular class is that you are watching your professor live on television. You can ask questions, join discussions, and particpate fully...if you want. :p Also, the professor has a screen that is split into four sections so he can see his different classrooms. Brendon and I sit in a back corner and luckily we are not in the camera's view so we can do pretty much anything (including sleep) if we wanted to. BTW, we don't sleep. lol

I tried an online course at the beginning of this semester, but I dropped it because there was a ridiculous amount of work for a lower level class and I'm taking too many upper level classes that I needed to focus on. I may try again later, but I didn't really like how it worked for that course.

LOL If I would have done that I'd be working as a social worker or RN now. I've been taking classes for both. Not really sure which I want to do but I thought having backgrounds with both would be great for either job. Just remember its NEVER too late for an education & its a wonderful example for younger people who look up to you (children, nieces, nephews, cousins ect) & it will always help improve your self image & you life.
I learned this the hard way. I was standing on campus between classes talking with some classmates. I told them (mostly people right out of highschool) that maybe I'm just "too old" to be going to college now. (I'm 29) I turned around to see a lady who must have been in her late 70's looking at me. She told me that I'm am not too old & that an education is priceless no matter what age you are. Just remember those words & hold your head high as you walk through the campus. ;)

i think that sometimes,.... my own stubborness for not going back sooner.. I am going to be 24 this year and hopefully will be done soon. You are correct.. it's never too late and I learned to stop thinking about the if only's and what if's and concentrate on the NOW.....
