The severe storms finally got here, and looks like they are pounding Sheryl as well. Heres the map:

We're just getting lots and lots of rain and lightening. It started during the night. We're under a flash flood alert. Where we live, we are on high ground. The gutters are full and running fast & the fairway behind our home has HUGE water hazards this morning. The poor furkids did not want to go out this morning, but with a little shove, they got their business done and came right back in.

Chase, our daughters dog who lives with us is afraid of storms, so he panted and whimpered much of the night. He jumped on hubby a couple of times. Poor baby. Both babies that is.

Well, gotta go, we are making a little road trip this morning, even though it's stormy. We will be very careful, ladies. Y'all take care, and hope the weather isn't too bad up your way, Sheryl!!!!!! :wavey:

There's a horn blowing on the weather channel on the TV just now. We're under a tornado watch until 10:00 a.m.  We don't get too many tornados around here, but once in a while they are in the area. None of the mile wide ones though like in the plains states.

I saw on the news this morning that some bad storms were coming your way this time. In the spring time we have tornado warnings all the time. There use to be a house where our house is now and it was destroyed by a tornado. They put a trailer here, we bought it and then built our house. There have been quite a few tornados close to us the last couple of years....

Just be careful and take whatever precautions are necessary.

Thanks ladies!! The storms were not too bad last night. If they were I slept through it all.

It has been raining so far today, ugh! I want it to stop so I can go ride.

Last year a real bad storm came through. It hit a couple towns about 20 min's from me. My horse trainers neighbor suffered a huge loss. Many of her horses were decaputated. :( My trainer's place (house) suffered major damage and she is still cleaning up from it. Her horses remained safe though.

It's that time of year in tonadoe alley. Can't wait till it's over.

I'm only about 4 hours away from Sheryl in SE Kansas and we had bad weather last night. Today it's trying to be sunny but the gray clouds just keep creeping back in. We have a 30% chance of rain today. Not too bad considering the last few days.

Oklahoma looked like they had really bad weather yesterday. They had a lot of tornado watches all day yesterday, but I haven't heard of any tornados so far. We have a storm shelter in the basement for "just in case". So far we've used it once!

Sheryl, you stay safe girl - if it gets bad, hop on the plane and head this way ;)
