If only I could see a month ago how much things would turn around! My independence has come back. I started meeting new people and having a great time! Last week I started talking to a new girl on the sport bike forum I'm part of. She added me to her msn and we started talking and realized we're basically the same person! We are a year apart in age but we both have just one sibling, a brother who is 2 years older than us, we have the same eye and hair color, same shoe size (and shoe fetish!), and we even drive the same car! Right down to the same year and color! It is also the first year on a bike for both of us. She also got dumped a month ago by her boyfriend.
So last night she asked if I wanted to meet for coffee. I thought we'd both be pretty quiet and I'd be home in an hour. We actually stayed until that restaurant closed and then moved to a coffee shop for another hour... we just gabbed the whole time! We pretty much planned our whole summer together the first night we met! Together we're going to do the "Ride for the Breath of Life" which raises money for cystic fibrosis. We are also both interested in joining Women in the Wind which is an organization of women who ride motorcycles. They put on fundraising events and even go on fully sponsered rides to vegas and florida! Last year they raised $29,000 for breast cancer. I'm so excited to be part of that, and they seem excited to have us! I never would have known about it if I hadn't met her, and I never would have met her if I was still with Ryden.
I feel like I've now gained both a friend AND a purpose. I just feel so happy with myself now. I just wanted to share that with you all.
