I got a check in the mail today from an insurance company for the repairs to our house from the pick-up hitting it. It is for $130 MORE than I'd guesstimated, so I'm :D .

Our son, who lives with us, offered to do the dirty job of climbing under the house to replace the insulation that was ruined, so that will help both him and us. In paying him what we would have paid professionals, he's able to get new tires for his car, pay off a nice lump sum on it, and get back on his feet financially. We've been picking up his shortages since he's been out of work, so it will be a break for us too.
WHEW! One less thing to worry about for now.

Yes Diana, God is good. This could have been SO bad... and might end up with several positives.

I am putting my trust in Him on the job front too. I know His ideas and mine don't always mesh, but He is always right.

That's great Tink. Even though we know we have the money coming, it's always a surprise when it arrives. Glad everything is working out for you and your son.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed you get the job!! Have you called them again yet?

Janet, I haven't heard anything from them. I was almost afraid to get the mail today, but there was no letter saying "thanks but no thanks" like I expected.

My referrences still haven't heard from them either, so that's disheartening.
I thank you for keeping me in mind. I would still love the job, but would be really shocked if I got it at this point. I knew it was a long shot when I applied, but the interview going so well did give me hope. I guess God has other plans for me, so I'll just wait and see what those are. In the mean time I can work on getting things done on my house. Today I've been starting seed for my flower and veggie gardens. There are definitely worse ways to spend the day.

I'm glad you are taking this so well Tink. Sometimes things just don't go the way we plan and it's best to just move on to the next step. Maybe there is another job out there that you would like even more!! Good luck.
