So I've not posted this because I've been pretty upset about the situation and really hoping things would change, but it didn't. You all know about the house hubby and I were going to buy. Well, the owner/agent has not contacted us in WEEKS. We are supposed to move in May 1. We've tried calling him but he hasn't returned our calls. We thought he was such a nice guy...if he decided to keep the house, I think he could've at least told us. But anyway, I've been really disappointed, but we started looking into other options. We've looked at TONS of houses in the past few weeks but we never found anything that met all of our requirements. We never had that "THIS IS THE ONE" feeling that I really wanted. Until yesterday.
We saw a townhouse that we fell in love with. There are four units so it's not a huge complex that feels like an apartment, which is what we are trying to get away from. We would be on the end so we would only share walls with one neighbor and the walls are soundproof. It's a two bedroom, 1200 sq ft. (I know it isn't much but it's an improvement over the 950 we have now), 1.5 bath, very nice kitchen with updated appliances including dishwasher, disposal, microwave, etc. The cabinets are just beautiful! There is a fireplace, one car garage and storage area, and a covered patio that is huge. AND...We will finally be able to have a washer and dryer in our house!! :)
We paid the deposit today and we're going to sign the lease on Tuesday. We're going to go ahead and pay rent for the next year then as well and we will start moving on Wednesday! It all happened so fast!! But I really feel that this is the perfect place for us for now.
I will make a video for you guys on Wednesday. I just wanted to update you on the situation and share my exciting news. :) Thanks for all of your advice and encouragement that you've given along the way. :D

That's too bad about the other house, Angie, but I'm happy that you were able to find another place that you liked even better. I'm looking forward to seeing the video.

Be sure to ask if they have firewalls Angie. That is the only thing about living in apartments, condos..etc. Ya just never know how other people live and if they are careful not to let a fire get started.

Thanks Janet. I'll definitely ask about that, especially since there are fireplaces.

I would rather not make anything legal of it. That's just not something I think I would do unless it were a necessity or if someone really just did something awful, ya know?

Good thinking Angie. Way to many frivolous lawsuits going on. Now don't get me wrong though, I think lawsuits are a great way to settle something, but only unless all other options are done first. Our court system is slow enough.

Yes, Hannah, I am SUPER excited! But the packing and getting ready to move brings me back down to a normal emotional state. lol. We are trying to get through the last two weeks of school AND move at the same time and it's a bit stressful. Thank goodness I can take breaks and check out what's going on at 4wt. lol.

Yup, if they are finished painting and such, we will start moving in tomorrow...but I have a huge paper due on Monday that I'm only about 25% through, so Brendon will be doing mostly small boxes and stuff until I'm done and then we'll try to find people to help with the big stuff.
