I was over at my daughter's house to take her a birthday card and visit for a little while. After a while the talk turned to babies (she's the one that's expecting) and her 10 year old daughter was joining in on the conversation. (To fill you in a little bit..... My daugher and her family live in the country, on the same property as we live, and they often have new born kittens and puppies.)
The conversation turned to how old the baby would be when different holidays arrived. My daughter said, " The baby will be about 2 months old when Thanksgiving gets here and 3 months old when Christmas gets here and two weeks old when Halloween gets here!" My granddaughter then asked," Mom will the baby have it's eyes open by then?" My daughter and I laughed so hard.
Of course, my granddaugher then realized her mistake in comparing babies to kittens and puppies!!!
