View Full Version : Kinda bumbed
I never did hear back from the newspaper, so assumed they'd hired the other applicant. Today I checked the papers site and see they've put the ad for an editor back up! So obviously, neither of us got hired. :thumbdwn:
So I didn't lose out to someone more qualified, they just decided they didn't want me! :(

Sorry Tink,
They just didn't know a good thing when they saw it. Something else will come along. When God closes a door he opens up a window.
I am sorry to hear this Tink, think of it as their lost... You will find another.

Maybe it's his way of saying...."Tink, you have been so good and kind to others...take the summer off with no worries".
Just enjoy yourself Tink until that perfect job comes along.

I agree with the above posts. The perfect job will come along, dont worry.
Thanks ladies
Janet, I don't know how good I've been, but I am enjoying being able to stay home and work on my house. It's been neglected for far too long. It had sat empty for a couple years before we bought it, and had been a rental for a while before that, so was tired and weary looking. I've been so busy working that I've not had time or energy to fix it up.
With my seeds now sprouting, I imagine in a few weeks I'll be busy planting. I look forward to that too. I'm just so used to working that it's hard not to feel guilty now that I'm not. And of course that job was just SO up my alley.

Then Tink, take this time to accomplish the things you have put off. You'll know when the right job comes along. I know it's hard, especially if you're use to two incomes, but good things come to those who wait.

I applied and interviewed for my newspaper job....and it was MONTHS before they go back to me. When they called me, I was like, gosh it took you a long time to give me the "I'm sorry, but" call........but they offered me the job?! I don't know why it took them SO long, but really, I had long given up on getting that job, but I ended up accepting and working there for a year and a half! (Would've been longer but my husband and I moved to Charleston.)
Anyway, not trying to give you false hope, but maybe it's just taking them a ridiculously long time?
If that's not the case, then I think they could have called you or emailed you or something? There's a better job out there for you and they will be lucky you were waiting for the right one to come along!!!
