Okay Sherry Lynn, this thread is for you...Let's hear about the Sisters-in-law. I
have 6 and no two are alike in anyway!!!

My younger brother's wife is very evil. She is always asking questions (alot about kids) just so she can compare and make hers sound better. She will do awful things to someone just so she will look better. She's very controlling, so much so that when her father passed recently, her family told her to butt out, because she was trying to control everything including her mother. She even hit her sister in the belly while her sister was pregnant, because she wasn't married and they got into an arguement over it.

My older brother's wife is sweet, she just likes to exaggerate and boy is she good at it. She also tells half truths so you take what she says with a grain of salt. Al in all, not too bad.

Now on my husbands side:

Younger sister and husband make over $400,000 a year and makes sure everyone knows it. Even sending out copies of an article about her business to all the relatives. They are totally fake including their Christianity. They go for show, but practice none of it. Money is too important. Very stuffy and stand offish.

Older brothers wife is very nice. A little judgemental, but sincere in her actions and voice.

Step-sister-in-law: 53 years old and changes whatever her life is (no one knows anymore) because she changes with each guy she dates. So disappointing.

Half-sister-in-law: 40 years old---Totally nuts...spoiled, lies, cheats, steals, takes advantage of others and well, she'll never change..

Can anyone beat that? LOL

Wow! I cant beat it but I do have some sister in laws that are pretty evil! I only have 2 sister in laws and technically one of them isnt even my sister in law but she is evil.

My hubby's sister is 19 and gets everything she wants, shes a huge spoiled brat and I cant stand to be around her.

My hubby's brother has a girlfriend that is pregnant, and we do not get along at all. She is 19 and has a 2 year old from another relationship, she trapped my brother in law into this relationship, and now he has a little boy on the way! She told me when she found out that she was pregnant that she was so happy to have the first grandbaby bc the 1st one is the most important! I couldnt believe that she would say something like that to me! I was very hurt! When I told her that I wanted to have 3 or 4 kids she told me that I better get started or I will never have that many. I said...... Im only 20 (at the time) how old do you think that I am 40?????

I could go on and on. But I will stop there

Wow I think we're running neck and neck. I may have more sisters-in-law, but yours sound just as bad as mine.

I only have 1 sister-in-law. We are the same age (3 months apart) and get along fabulously, we just don't really have anything in common. She is really outdoorsy, kind of a tree-hugger, doesn't really wear makeup, doesn't dry her hair, ect. I, on the other hand, and almost the complete opposite. But we still get along great! :p:D :p :D :p :D

Sorry you two don't get along wtih your sisters-in-law. At least it doesn't get in the way of your marriage, like so many other in-laws do.

Oh it never gets in the way. I just don't care to be around them that much and we really aren't. Mostly at holidays and the like. My hubby feels the same way I do only he loves his sisters and I understand that. He should love them, but I don't have to. He can spend as much time as he wants with them, but doesn't pressure me to. Me, I love my brothers, so I tolerate their wives for my brothers sake. As long as my brothers are happy then I'm happy for them.:)

I have 3 SIL's, will be 4 next June, all on my hubby's side of the family. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters - older brother divorced years ago and we've lost touch with his ex, younger brother has never married.

All of my SIL's are really sweet and I get along with each of them. Only problem is one lives in California, one in Chicago, and one in Louisiana - she's the closest but still lives 4 hours away and with 4 kids and another on the way, she just doesn't have time!!! We all talk via email or phone calls and we try to get together as a family once a year. Next year, in June, we are all traveling to Orlando for hubby's younger brother's wedding. The whole family is renting a 7 bedroom house to stay at and we're turning it into a family reunion.

That sounds like a lot of fun. You're lucky your sisters-in-law are nice to be around. Sure makes for a lot nicer reunion!!:)

I know what you mean. I can handle it for a little while, if I start getting annoyed, I just go outside or away from the group for awhile. Some just seem to think their family is better and if they would stop and think why they married our brothers, who do they think they grew up with???

On my hubbys side, the one with the money lives in New Jersey, the nicer one lives in Illinois (they have a greenhouse business), and the step sister and half sister live here in town for the moment.

On my side, the better of the two lives in town and the evil one lives just 4 miles from me in the country, only they live in a sub-division. We only see each other at the holidays which is fine. Too much drama if we see each other more.

I do try to be nice to them and I think I am, but I'm sure being tested on this one, let me tell you. Whenever the evil one was pulling her attitude, I use to tell her "keep it up, we still haven't voted you in the family yet." It always gets a laugh, but HEY I WAS SERIOUS!!! LOL

It IS HARD to be nice and friendly all of the time!! The younger sil always knows it better, can do it better, has better, and oh you can't beat her, she has the nicest of everything.
She WILL let everyone know how much they payed for everything URGH!!! I couldnt care less what she has and how much she has.
She loves to lie, and i have a serious problem with people that can't tell me the truth, so now my husband keeps me well away from her TG, and i don't miss her one bit!
My older sil and i always used to make fun of her, and i used to laugh in her face, specially after having a few drinks

It is hard being nice. VERY HARD, would probably be a little easier if I actually liked them. I just know I love my brothers so that helps. My evil SIL still asks others in the family a lot of questions so she can try to "one up" them, but when she starts asking me questions, I just smile and ask why she wants to know...LOL She never knows what to say... Sometimes she'll say "just curious" and I'll tell her that's what killed the cat!!!

Oh I can't stand my brother's wife! She has totally changed him and we don't see them much at all. She is just the biggest bitch I've ever met!

My husband's sister is okay. She used to be worse. One year she sent a Christmas card to us but my name wasn't even on it! But in her defense she is a lot nicer now. I think she used to have this impression that I took her brother away from their family but I guess she realized it wasn't true.

Janet

I think as time goes on and they realize we're not the enemy, then they (SIL) calm down a little. But a couple of mine just were not nice ever so they'll never change.

Mandy

I guess some people will never change, they are so set in their ways and beliefs, and that's ok too, they are who they are ;)

My SIL lives in Florida with my MIL and I totally LOVE her. She was in the army and is a vet of the first Gulf War. She is small and thin but she can kick a@@ if she needs to. She is a very strong, independent woman and totally my hero. She even gives me advice sometimes on how not to spoil her brother and make him pull his weight around the house.;)

I have 8 sister in laws 3 on my side and 5 on my hubby's.

My first 2 sister in laws are nice now but it took a long time for one of them and I to get a long. She won't stay at my house cause I have a yorkie and she doesn't like dogs.......If she does stay at my house she brings her own sheets and towels....can you gather she is a clean freak! My house isn't dirty. They both have the same name Phyllis. The other sister-in-law is nice but we hardly ever see them they keep to themselves.

My baby brothers wife is a bitch and won't let him see his family. They have 6 kids and I have never seen 3 of them! Their loss

On my hubby's side this gets good.

1st sister-in-law is the same age as me we went to school together.....it has been rocky between us but after 40 years of marriage her and I get along.....she lives in Texas and I live in Michigan!

2nd sister in law we get along very well now that our kids are all grown. She is a very sweet person

3rd,4th,5th sister in laws are filty and drugies who expect everyone to give them everything. They don't feel the need to work. Needless to say we don't have very much to do with them.

I have one actual sister-in-law and haven't seen her in 3 years. She's nice, but complains a lot. After reading most of your posts, I think I'm pretty fortunate.

I have three sil's.

My brother's wife is awesome. We are absolutely nothing alike, but she's very sweet and she's a wonderful mother. I really like spending time with her (the one or two times a year they're in town).

The only thing I'll say about my husband's sisters, is I'm sure THEY'D have some choice things to say about me if they were on here!
