I saw the other post, and not wanting to distract from the lovely pictures of her family, I decided to make another post.
Here's some pictures some of my friends and I took while on a camping trip, there was a field of bluebonnets down by the lake and we couldn't resist.
1) the whole group with the camera on a timer (I'm in the Navy tshirt)
2) whole group taken by an innocent bystander from a nearby campsite

Wow, what beautiful scenery! And you all seem to be having such a good time! It's always so nice to spend time with friends...and to have pictures to remind you of it later. :)

Really nice pictures Lissa. Are bluebonnets something special to Texas? I don't recall seeing fields of them here in Indiana...do we have some here?

Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower, and they grow here in pretty large quantities. I've seen feilds so full of them that it literally looked like a sea of blue, you couldn't even see the grass there were so many. I would have gotten pictures of those cause there was a field like that near my church, but I kept forgetting my camera.

Melissa's right about the blue bonnets here. They are incredible. I got a kick out of a picture posted on CNN of the ice storm near Bush's home in Crawford showing ice on bluebonnets, only they weren't bluebonnets, just some kind of blue lilly on the side of the road. Truth in journalism. :p
