Well, after all of the stressing, I managed to pull off all A's again this semester! YAY! I was so happy when I saw my grades online. :D I just wanted to share my good news with everyone. Also, I don't know if the other college students here have gotten their grades yet, but good luck! (I know that Lissa and Rebecca are in college, but I don't know if there are any others.)

Thanks everyone!!!
Hubby made two A's and two B's. He was very happy. (He wasn't always the best student, but he's been doing really well in college and I'm SO proud of him!!) :)
Yes, I have been in my social work classes since my very first semester, but now almost every class is social work related since I'm done with all the core classes.

I just had to share this incredibly sweet and thoughtful email I got from the toughest professor I've ever had. She was such a sweet lady, but her class was more difficult than any other class I've ever been in before. It was worth it though. I learned SO much from her. Apparently she sent this the day of our last class, but I hadn't checked my school email account until today. Anyway, here it is, from the professor who doesn't give A's (though I ended up with an A anyway, lol).
Hello All. I just arrived home from school. In some ways I am sad that we will not be a class again. Then again I am happy knowing that we accomplished so much this term. And I am profoundly touched by your card, gift, and comments. WOW!
Know that I am so proud of all of you and your SPIRIT. You got it! I will miss you all but know you are moving on the path to being effective social workers. And I know you will continue to hear this voice in your heads...
Best of luck to all of you in the Fall. Do well. And come by to say hello when you hear 'that voice' in the halls of Rogers-Stout or Hillrise. Or see the little Nissan with Tennessee tags...
Have a fabulous summer!
Professor A

I haven't gotten my grades back yet, kinda scared too, I know I didn't do as good this semester than I did the last one.
I've gotten 2 grades so far, 1 A and 1 B, and I took 6 classes.

I hope so, but I don't think I'll do so good in my other classes...I'm kinda torn at the moment cause my school doesn't offer the fields I want to study, I'm looking to transfer to another school in the area, right now it's down to Austin Community or UT

If you are not happy with the majors your college offers, I would suggest that you speak with your current adviser about it as well as advisers from the other two colleges you are looking into. They usually have tons of helpful advice since they deal with this stuff on a day to day basis. I don't know what I'd do without my adviser!
So what fields are you interested in?

I hope my mum doesn't see that, she's been bugging me to talk to my advisors for a while :p
I'm interested in EMS and ER Nursing. I'm an adrenaline and medical junkie; I want to be a Paramedic and when I burn out be an ER or Trauma Nurse. My dad was recently in the ER and he had an amazing nurse, she was really friendly, and that's what I want to be eventually. I'm planning on talking to the advisors when I get back to school, and I know a family that is doing just what I want to do, the wife is a nurse at a local hospital in the emergency department if I remember correctly and her husband was a paramedic and is going to school to be a nurse, so I'm planning on setting up lunch with them sometime soon. Mum sounds a bit excited, everyone's been wondering what I would do with a Political Science degree. And as a Paramedic I could get part of my money back for the nursing school tuition because they value continued education.

That's awesome! It sounds like a very exciting future. :) Good luck with your transfer!

You will! You seem like such a smart woman. Six classes is a big load though. That's about 18 hours, right? Maybe if you only took 5 classes it would be a bit easier to manage and would be a lot less stressful.
