I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I couldn't wait for school to be out so I could start cleaning and getting rid of things. Too much stuff here needs gotten rid of. I just can't get in the mood. I've had three days free to do whatever and haven't done much of anything at all. Hope this mood goes away soon, we all know how time flies and pretty soon it will be time to go back to school...:(
I think I'm just overwhelmed with how much stuff there is to go through, I'm not sure. Sure hope what ever this mood is passes soon, all I feel like doing is being on the computer or lying around.

Janet, i think you are just tired, and maybe need a week to rest. I'm sure after you are rested, and more at ease, the "mood" will change ;)
Janet, sometimes we just need to unwind and catch our breath. You're entitled!
Soon you'll get in the mood and be amazed at how much you accomplish in a day.
You're not lazy... you're just wore down and need some time to renew! It'll happen, so please try not to kick yourself too hard over it.

I always slow down once the pressure's off and I think that's what you're doing too. Now that you don't HAVE to get things done before a certain time you're body's telling you that it wants to slow down for a while. Enjoy your little breather because if I know you you'll be back at it in no time.
I felt that way when I first retired. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that it wasn't just a vacation, and I felt that pressure to get things done. I slept for the first week or two and then got rid of tons of stuff, bought plastic bins of all sizes to organize things n, and shredded almost every paper I had saved all these years.
(If I need anything I shredded, I'll just have to get a new one, or I just won't have it).
At some point, I just stopped. I guess I'm organized enough - a lot of the rest could probably be given away or just thrown out. I have a huge apartment, with tons of closets, so don't need the space. I'm a thrower-outer anyway, and super organized. I also think that when I move, if I never throw out all of the junk in all of these closets, I can just pay the super $100 to throw everything out. But ehat if I leave something valuable? Oh well...if I already forgot about ir, I probably won't ever remember that I lost it anyway!
Anyway, you need to rest first! Then you slowly build up the energy to do what you have to do and leave the rest for some other time. You already know that though. You've been working for the schools for a while now haven't you?

I think you're all right! I just need a little breathing space and get things down on paper. Tackle all the easier things first, so the list will get smaller faster and I'll feel like I've accomplished something. There is just no hurry....I've got until the last of August.
