I'm having a hard time dealing with a death of one of my pets right now. He was 16, and he passed in my arms, I saw his last breath and will never forget his eyes. I've never been thru anything like this and I'm just feeling like no one really understands (except my friends at YT)
My husband - he's trying and he cried too, but I think he deals with things different. My mom? Well, she thinks I should be over it. And try to move on    I don't think thats going to happen.
I held him for so long after he was gone - not wanting to let go. I just don't know how to deal with it and needed to vent. Thanks for listening

Breny, my heart goes out to you, and please accept my condolences. I know its hard, very very hard to let go of a loved one. Try to remember that he had 16 years of love, and you gave him a good life. In time the sharp edges will fade, and you will be able to remember the good times you both shared.
He will always live in your heart girl, and will be watching over you, he is with hes friends now, and is happy, and healthy. He knows you love him very very much, and he loves you.
Best wishes to you, and just know, we are here for you anytime you need to talk. :40:

I can't put anything into words better than how Mandy did. I'll keep you in my prayers. I had to put one of my pets down quite a few years ago, and I too held him until his last breath and then held him all the way home to be buried. It will get better sweetie, I promise. It will just take time.
I'm so sorry Breny. After 16 years together, of course it's unimaginable how you're going to deal with it. But you will, and time does heal all wounds. You can bring your grief to us whenever you need to.
My heart and prayers go out to you,

I am so sorry, I agree with Mandy as well. I think over time it will get easier. The hole in your family will fill in with the memories.

Breny, I'm so sorry. Loosing a pet is very hard, and it will take time. It's okay and normal to mourn, so please, don't let others convince you otherwise. My heart goes out to you..

Breny, how are you doing? I've just been thinking about you this morning.
Breny, I'm sorry for your loss.
I too have cried like a child over the loss of a pet. They just become so much a part of your life that you're bound to suffer the loss.
In time though, the pain eases and you're able to just enjoy the memories and appreciate the wonderful gift you had even though it never lasts long enough.
