View Full Version : Disappointing Week!

Well, I am not enjoying my week at all. All I do is sweat walking back and forth checking on the puppies and the little boy we have left, (he leaves Sat. A.M.)
It's just wearing me out. Plus I fix Gidget special meals while she's nursing. About the only thing I got done so far this week was laundry. I wanted to relax, but I'm about to go nuts...LOL
I've read everything here and at YT and there isn't a whole lot new. I think summer has slowed things a bit. I'm ready for my son to come home, but that won't be until Saturday so I'd better get use to it...huh?
I just didn't think I would feel this way this week. I'm looking forward to next week, with my son here to help take up the slack, I'm gonna get some cleaning done and then head to the spa for my special day.

When I suggested activities in another thread I forgot about your puppies. You are busy, just having to do it all alone. Wish I could help. Have never been around little puppies.
Hope things get better!!!! Just remember how blessed you are. You really are you know, and you're a very special person!!!!

Janet, I'm surprised that you don't have a special project going on while watching the little ones!!! I figured that you'd have some closet or something cleaned out and all spic and span!!!! (Keep in mind that I've never had puppies so I'm completely oblivious to how much work they are.)
Go get yourself some favorite foods (veggies and dip or something low cal), a good book or a good movie, light some candles, and pamper yourself while you're at home. I do that sometimes. I just forget that I have anything else to do and take care of me for awhile. You deserve it, Janet!!!

BOY!!! I sure had a pity party for me yesterday when posting didn't I?? It isn't so bad that I can't get on here and YT once in a while throughout the day. The puppies are really not much work, I weigh them every morning for the first two weeks. It's Gidget...she has started fluffing up the bedding so I have to check to make sure she's not covering up the puppies.
Then the puppy that is leaving on Saturday. I get him out of his x-pen quite often throughout the day to socialize and I have to stay right with him to make sure he potties on the papers..(he is doing so good), but has an occasional accident.
And of course I have to play and continue to monitor our new girl Fancy. She most always goes on the paper. Then the others need attention and played with too.
Gidget is such a goof ball, she's wanting to leave the puppies a little more and get out on her own. She'll come out for about two minutes, go on her paper and then go back down the hall to the puppies. She'll look in on them and want right back out. This goes on for at least 30 minutes.
So even thought I love them and love taking care of them, it's a lot to deal with alone. I know things will get better. I just needed a little pity party for myself....this morning I feel much better.
I hope you ate chocolate at your pity party! I always say that if you're going to spend the day feeling sorry for yourself, you'd best stock up on comfort food!
You probably needed to feel all those bad feelings - so good for you for letting yourself. I always think it's much healthier to feel exactly how you feel than to suppress those feelings.
We're always here to listen and to support you, dear Janet.

Things are doing better. I met Lynne at Conformation Class tonight. It felt so good to get out of the house for a couple of hours. Everything was just fine when I got home, nothing to worry about.
I still can't wait for my son to come home. I'm definitely a person of habit and even though I would normally look forward to time alone, I never had a house full of dogs to take care of alone, ALL wanting my attention...lol Not much longer and things will be back to normal! YEAH!!!!

Janet, it's too bad that you've had all this time alone, but have been tied to the puppies. Hopefully the next time the guys leave for a few days you'll be able to enjoy your time alone.
Have you got your spa day scheduled yet? I would have one on the calendar when the guys got home. You deserve it!!!
They'll be home soon! Spa day? Did someone say spa day? What could be better?
What are planning on having done?

I don't know yet what I want done. I know a massage. I'm still looking through the brochure and then I have to show it to my sister-in-law. She wants to go too.

Definitely have a facial. When I had my spa day, I did not realize how badly I needed a facial and how nice my skin and face would be for weeks after.
