Hi Diana
I've been busy learning everything I can about labradoodles, running a kennel, breeding, Labradoodle colors, and how to market my little darlings once they are ready to go. I'm also working on building a website for the kennel and getting good pics of the pooches to use on it.

Luckily, I've found some experienced Labradoodle breeders who are willing to share their knowledge and experience, so have been taking advantage of that while I can.

We're still in drought conditions, so I spend about an hr each evening watering my gardens, try to work with each of the dogs every day, have been running my dd to and from work daily, and still have to try to keep my house liveable and other chores done.

I rarely get time to post, but I have been popping in to check up on you all.
I thought I was going to have MORE free time when I "quit work" HAHAHAHA silly me!

I come in and read a few, maybe post now and again, but just really nothing to right now. Awful isn't it? I haven't been in a good place lately with hubby's health and now my mom's health more.

Oh how I knew then, what I know now!

Hi Diana,

I've been busy with "stuff." I had my cousin's stepdaughter stay over, some appointments, and the beach!I'm home today.

How are you doing? Have you just about leaned out after the flood?

I try to check in often, but I've been busy as well... Brendon and I have been spending a lot of time with friends and family lately. It's been amazing, but nothing really significant to post about...

Maybe things will slow down for everyone soon and the site will pick up again. :)

Tink, he goes to the Dr. the 27th and they will schedule his back surgery. They have to put a spacer between the vertebrae, it's bone on bone and pinching a nerve. He'll be in the hospital 3 days and home for about 3 months. I'm not looking forward to him 24/7 at all!! I'll let ya know when his surgery is scheduled.

Oh that's right... yep it was the CRS...

I don't envy you one bit. I'd be dreading that too. My dh was home for 5 months last year with back problems. It's not a good time!
I'll keep you both in my prayers.

Hello, ladies, we've been very busy with lots of things going on. Both our girls are moving away to go to college soon. One in an apartment and one in an RV park in our 5th wheel RV. There is a lot to get ready. Had to clean the RV top to bottom, end to end since it was used and held other people's dirt. Had to get dishes, pots & pans, & all the stuff needed for them to live more or less on their own. Whew!!!

There are other things going on that I'll share later. All really good!!! so don't worry about us. We are all doing great, just no time right now for much of anything but what we're busy doing.

Janet, do keep us posted on your hubby & how both of you are doing. I'm sure it will be tough for a while, but this too will pass.

Diana, hope you and your family are doing well after the flood. Our area is still getting heavy rains, but no more water in homes for now. FEMA has opened an office in the area to handle the people with flood damage. What a mess!!!

Judy, glad you are keeping busy, and Angie, good that you are spending time with family. Tink, sounds like you're busy with your new enterprise. Too bad we can't send you some of our rain!! Wishing everyone well!!!!!

Hi Diana,......How are you doing? Have you just about leaned out after the flood?

Things still aren't "back to normal" for us or our community. We're still picking up stuff out of the drifts and cleaning it up. My husband is still trying to get some equipment cleaned up and running. He finally got crops replanted but they're really late so we're not sure how well they'll do but at least we're trying. We've had some crops destroyed and I'm not sure what my husband's doing about those.

We have several friends who are without housing but FEMA's suppose to be bringing in trailers but who knows when. We've been talking about having some friends come and stay with us for awhile but they're with other friends already so we're not sure what they'll do. We're going on a week's vacation and may have one of the family's come and housesit for us while we're gone.

My son's got his home repaired and they're moving the furniture back in today. He's really been hard at work at it. I think that I'll go over this afternoon and take a look and see how things turned out.

We're still on restricted water. To take a shower we've been getting wet then turning the water off and soaping up then turning it back on to wash off. My husband and Jaci have been taking baths in the pond. I can't wash a lot of clothes in a day just a load every once in a while The water situation will be a problem until they get our water plant back up and running. The newspaper is saying about 3 months. We're not suppose to even water our outside plants and anyone caught using unnecessary water will be fined and have their water shut off. They are really serious about the water situation. Jaci hauled up some water from the pond for me to water my plants. She's such a sweetie!!!

Things are going to be a while getting back to normal. I appreciate your checking on us, Judy.

That is terrible. Are they letting you have plenty of water for the crops? Did it rain yesterday? We got about another inch. It is wierd to have rain in July.

We don't irrigate our crops. There are a few people who have a center pivot and pump out of the river but we usually get enough rain that we don't have to irrigate.

Yes, we had some rain yesterday but it wasn't very much. Not even enough to get muddy. We've been having rain in our area almost every night but we haven't gotten very much accumulation from it.

What a great way to catch up with everyone. Sounds like summer is here and everyone has things to keep them busy. My excuse is (well not like I'm on tons in the first place), I just started a new job, my first full time. I haven't grasped on to how you work, and have a life at the same time! It was really great to hear from everyone as to what they've been up to.
