If you could pick your all-time favorite hairstyle, what would it be?

For me, I look good in a shoulder-length cut with bangs. I don't like short hair on me because I have a round face and when it's short it just looks rounder!!! Right now it's quite a bit longer than shoulder length but it's in a pony-tail most of the time.

I would love to have hair like Jennifer Aniston or Jennifer Gardner. My hair is just way to thick to lay like that tho. I have to get it thinned out now as it is. It use to lay like that until I got pregnant. Then it got somewhat curly and even thicker and darker in color! Most of the time now I keep it cut shoulder length or up in a ponytail.

I really don't know. I am getting mine cut Saturday so I guess I had better decide on something.

My all time favorite is the "shag". Easy to take care of, looks cute in shorter or longer version.

I think I look cute with short hair, but I loooove what I can do with long hair. I cut off 9 inches in December and I can't get myself to grow it out again. Everytime it hits my shoulders I get it cut! Right now it's just above my shoulders with lots and lots of layers in the back, and I really like how it looks. This is the haircut that makes me look the most grown up lol
Let's see...I've had long, wavy brown hair, short wavy brown hair, short red hair, long wavy red hair, short wavy blond, medium wavy blond, long wavy blond and now long straight blond.
I think my favs were the long brown, medium blond and long straight blond.
Are there any colors I've missed?

Hi guys!
I don't post much but I try to read every few days. Here's a pix of my favorite hairstyle, on me - I wouldn't like it on everyone, but I love it for me. Although this is a black and white photo - yes - my hair is completely gray!

Cute pic! You are right, I really love that cut on you! :)
I love that hairdo, especially with gray hair. It's so attraktiver and you don't have to keep up with dying your hair.

I love that style on you. I don't really have a favorite for me, although I look better with a short hairstyle. My favorites are anything MacKenzie Westmore (Sheridan from Passions) wears. Her styles are always so pretty.

You are sooo right about not having to dye my hair. It started turning gray when I was in my early 20's - but not too noticable. I was putting in a comb through color, once a month when I met my hubby to be, just before I turned 30. He told me that dying my hair was silly and that was the end of that! WHEW! By 40, I was really gray and now at 55, I'm THERE!

I'll get around to posting a pic soon. Meantime, my hair is usually pretty short as it is less work and feels better in a hot flash! lol I had it long when I was younger. I guess I like it best almost shoulder length but I don't seem to have to patience to get it there and keep it there.
I don't go for adding color - I'm a child of the 60's that way. I love how we look with what grows naturally. I don't mind the grey in mine most of the time. It matches the wrinkles on my face (and the rest of me!).
I grow it longer in winter and cut it shorter in the summer.
Judy - what was your natural color when you were young?

I LOVE ultimate short hair styles on women who can "get away with it and have the face for it".
I LOVE long wavy hair styles on women who can "get away with it and have the face for it".
LOL - I always love other ladies hair but my own and have yet to find the style that seems to work just the way I want to for myself.
In a perfect world with perfect hair Id most likely have it medium length, long layers, and whatever color suits me that day. :p

I think we all have this problem...
I don't understand why there isn't an injection for hair. I like it long, straight and blond right now. I would like to be able to go buy an injectable liquid that would cause the chromosomes in my hair follicles to become long straight blond dominant!
Kate,
I was a brunette, with very thick wavy hair. I started with a gray streak right in the front at 23, which I kept for several years. It was pretty cool. Then it got larger and wasn't cool anymore, but I stuck with brunette for most of my life. Then I was a soft red for a few years.
I decided to go blond about 7 years ago. I figure if you live long enough and go grey enough, you can eventually have long blond hair.

Those streaks are the in thing now! Waardenburg's? Everyone I know with a streak here in VA colors it out, while lots of others color them in. What a world!

Currently my hair is long, but it hasn't been this long in years. Usually I have the short pixie!:D

Your pixie cut is really adorable on you! I like short hair styles on women. To me the short styles are classy yet sexy and fun on women.

Queen Rayback, I like your short hair style on you. I don't like my hair short it makes my face look even rounder!!!!
Queen R,
That haircut is just adorable on you! You're very pretty.

:D I'm so flatterred!
I will probably be cutting it again in the spring for locks of love. I wanted it long for my wedding, but now it is just getting annoying, especially if I have a migraine, everytime it gets pulled a bit the head pain sky rockets!

Tomorrow I have a hair appt. for a shorter cut and new color. Gosh I hope it turns out. What i invision in my head and what turns out doesn't always match.
I don't know about the rest of you ladies but I practically break out in a sweat sitting in that salon chair. Frazzled nerves, I'll tell ya, it will get the best of ya! ;)

OMG i remember all too well when i was a teenager sitting at the hairdresser time after time with my mom, bawling my eyes out on our way home, and be moody for weeks after that, because my hair was a MESS lmao - i still get that nastyness over me when they busy with my hair

i like the long sleek look, (as you can tell in my pic) straighting hair is a must, or loose curls with a large curling iron, i like the side bangs but im trying out the thick straight across ones like nelly furtado, it hard to maintain but in the end its worth it:)

I get mine cut the same way all the time. It's so much easier to fix when it's short. Bad thing....bed head is a nightmare!

I wish I could get the same cut as you Janet. I've tried but well I am at the mercy of the hair stylist and it just don't happen, LOL.
Im pretty happy with the short cut/color I received yesterday. I just now need to be patient while the front sides grow a tad, ugh. (I just noticed the hair cut I got is exactly like Kelly Pickler's (sp)?...Im watching the CMA awards right now) :D
If I could afford it (which I can't, lol) Id bet anybody a million that they would never find one picture of me that the hairstyle is the same.
Queen I love the pixie haircut very pretty on you. Sherly I am going to get my hair done tomorrow to. I will have them put highlights , I never did that before . I let you know how it goes. I love Kelly Picklers new haircut, I bet it looks pretty on you. Hair grows quickly so everyone should try something new from time to time. I wear mine short to, not to short I have in the past.
I like short hair, (always had it long till just a few years ago) but as Janet said, the bed head look in the mornings is awful!
My hair is very fine and straight and doesn't take a perm for crap. If it's too short I wake up looking like I just got a shock! I don't think long hair is a good thing for my 50+ face either though, so I'm always wishing for a different look.

I find that too, Tink, that my 50ish face is longer and narrower so if I grow my hair out I just don't look very good. And I do get bored with the same-old-same-old. At least it's wintery here so I am growing my short hair a little longer to keep some heat in - it looks messy right now as it grows out but it will settle down in a couple of weeks.
I did it today girls, I had my hair dyed a med. warm brown and put highlights , it is a sutle change. Looks sunkissed...lol

Sounds pretty! Where are the pix? You too, Sheryl.
I'm going today for my roots, highlights and no cut! I love when she doesn't cut it.
Then it gets nice and long. I've had the same "do" forever, mainly because my hair does what it wants, even though I have it blown out every week. It always falls back into the same style. Luckily, I like this style.
