Well, it's Saturday, housework day. Just finished dusting, vacuuming, cleaning up some Yorkie pee & here I am taking a break. The one day I'm off work and don't have specific committments and I will spend it breathing cleaners, folding clothes, etc, etc. Hey, it's not too bad though. My family is well, I have a nice secure, home & am loved. So for all of you out there doing the same as I am today, I wish you well!! And pray that you too are in a good place!!

I am about to go off to do laudry as well. I live in an apartment building and the washers are in the basement. I am just giving the machines some time to get unoccupied as everyone here has the same idea and they get crowded on Saturdays.

Well so far today, I've done 2 loads of laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, gave all 4 Yorkies a bath and still on my list..run the sweeper, dust a little and then I'm going to shampoo the family room carpet. I just did it about 3 months ago, but there have been "accidents" (just a few), so I'm just going to use the Simple Solution and hit those spots and the most worn. After that, maybe a nice relaxing bath and go to town for supper. Never cook when it's just me!! I haven't even got dressed yet and it's 1:15 PM

Cleaning day for me too! Roommate and boyfriend both went to their parents' houses for the weekend so I'm here all alone! I've got some dishes, vacuumming, sweeping, mopping, and tidying up to do! So far I've just thought about it though. I'm so comfy still sitting here in my big silky pj's with my yorkie asleep on my lap :D I don't want to get up!

I know that feeling. It's really nice outside here and I really should go clean out my van..it's a mess, but the air conditioning quit working yesterday, so why should I clean it out if it isn't gonna keep me cool, when I drive it?

My bf and I had cleaning day last weekend. Though, this weekend, I'll be cleaning out some rooms as we'll be starting construction in a couple of weeks.

Now I'm jealous! It's cold and raining here. My mom called this morning and said it snowed last night where they live. It feels cold enough to snow here soon too!
I've been picking away at this place all week, trying to do some "fall cleaning" while I had the chance. I have 5 lawn/leaf bags full of "stuff" sitting here waiting to be burned, have quilts hanging on the clothesline and fresh linens on the beds.
I imagine the elect co liked me yesterday as I had the washer and dryer going like crazy trying to get all the winter stuff ready and summer stuff put away.

I'm definitely not ready for snow. It's suppose to be mid 80's here today, but then this cold front is suppose to move in and drop down into the 40's at night and 60's during the day. I love those kind of temps. Fall is in the air..:)

If 52 degress is freezing to you, you better stay away from NY. That is spring weather to us.:D

I don't like it when it gets in the 30's or below and then when that icy winds starts to blowing....ooohhh. I could go all winter without any snow. :)

Well then come on down!!! We maybe get two or three frosts a year. I played golf yesterday afternoon in a tournament and it was HOT!! There was a shower in the morning, so it was also humid and steamy. We had a good time though. :D Better than being in the office.

So I got my dishes done and floors swept and mopped, and I was going to start vaccuuming. I covered the floor with carpet deodorizer and I was about to vacuum it all up. I turned on the vacuum and it made some banging noises and then stopped working altogether! I'm a poor student here, I can't afford anything other than my parents' hand-me-down vacuum from the early 80's. I called my mom and we decided it was just the end of the vacuum that wasn't working, so I should just take that off and use the hose to vacuum for now and they'd see if they could order a cheap new one and get it sent down here to me next week. So I tried that, and it won't even suck through the hose!!!! I am so frustrated, and my dog keeps sniffing and licking at the carpet, which isn't good for her!
On top of that, my washer went and died last week, and i can't get it fixed until monday, so I have piles of clothes and towels and sheets in my bedroom until then :(
All I want is a clean house...

I had a friend that use to live in Dallas. I went and stayed with her for a week and I love it there. They had a beer barn..so cool and I saw armadillos and road runners. They took me to this adobe type building one night and if you looked one way you could see the lights of Dallas and the other I think it was Ft. Worth. I'm not sure, but the lights were sure pretty. I also got to see where Bonnie and Clyde were buried. And let's see...I went to this bar (can't remember the name of the guy it's named after) but it had shops in it and 47 working bars and a dance floor. Nice place. Oh and I went to South Fork Ranch. In all the years that Dallas was on TV, I only missed two shows. That was because I screwed up the VCR somehow. I loved Texas!!!

:) Well it was a nice thought anyway! I got the hose on my vacuum to work, turns out it was just plugged up, so i vacuumed the whole living room and my bedroom with that, so it's good enough for now. Just a little more tidying up and I'll be done!!!:D

Marilyn, that's sweet of you to think of us all and wish good thoughts. I normally don't do much housework on weekends, I play. I do the majority of my heavy cleaning Monday thru Friday's.

You wanna know how many times a day I say that? Geez! It's like when it starts going, it all goes. It's during these times when one says "Calgon, take me away", or "Pour me a strong drink, shut up, and leave me the hell alone!!". I personally prefer the later one. :D
