I finally spoke with an attorney today about our lot line issues and he assured me we have nothing to worry about from our neighbor. He said they're bullies, so we just need to stand firm and tell them to stay off our property and not to speak to us. He also advised that we keep putting up our fence to prove that we're not faltering in our refusal to move it as they've requested. So this weekend we will be running the fence through the garden space to finish enclosing that side of our yard.

As I posted yesterday, they came over with the surveyor and wanted us to move our fence and give them back some of the land between us because the woman on the other side of them (where their deed actually includes an additional 38 feet) told them she will not remove her fence, so their lot is suddenly very narrow. It seems they were hoping I'd be easier to bully than she is. Now that I have the attorney standing firmly behind me telling me what I can and should do, they're simply out of luck. They're threatening to take us to court, but our attorney claims they don't have a case so he doubts anyone will represent them.
(No money+ BAD credit+ long criminal record+ No case = poor risk) WHEW.

I am SO relieved!

They're going to either move soon, get arrested or lose the property! I can just feel it. Karma's gonna get them.

Now you can sigh a big sigh of relief! Your lawyer gave you some really good news so now you can finish your fence and not worry about your neighbors.

Just look what you started!!!! :D :D A fence domino effect. Your surveyor may just get busy straightening out the whole neighborhood. So glad that your lawyer gave you the reassurance that you needed!!
