As most of you know we went 4-wheeling in Colorado for our vacation this year. We've all voted it as one of the best vacations that we've ever taken and are definitely ready to go back. We went with a group of 16 which was 3 other families, each family had 4 in it. One of the families was my daughter, Amy, her husband and two daughters, who we shared a cabin with. Anyway, here's some pictures of what we did-----
1. Our whole group in a line starting out.
2. Heading out.
3. Me and my trusty 4-wheeler
4. My husband, me, and daughters, Dae Lynn & Jaci on top of a mountain.

And more pictures----
1. A trail going higher at Cumberland Pass (I didn't go on this one)
2. My daughter, Amy, going around the higher trail. Obviously, I'm right behind her and a little further down this trail we met a SUV!! I was not very happy about it. There was no where for us to get off of the trail to let him by and not enough room to turn around. The trail was one of the scariest that I was on because it angled straight down and down was a long ways down! The SUV ended up backing up and we found out that he wasn't very far from the end of the trail. It was still scary having him back up! Anyway, we survived!!!
3. This is Mirror Lake. You can see why it's called that.
4. Me and my 4-wheeler at Mirror Lake
Please note on the pictures of me that I do NOT look my best!!

and more pictures!!
1. This is a picture of our whole group on Tin Cup Pass!
2. We went to St. Elmo, a ghost town supposedly, but it didn't look like one, and fed the chipmonks, squirrels, and a prairie dog or two. This is my daughter, Dae Lynn.
3. My daugher, Jaci.
4. Even my son-in-law got in on the fun. This is Jason.

Just one more group of pictures and I'm done. This is just a small sampling of what I took because I have over 300 pictures in all. Mostly mountain views. It was absolutely gorgeous there and if you haven't been to the mountains you need to plan a trip there sometime. There are activities to please everyone there. My family also went white water rafting for an afternoon but I didn't go. We didn't get any pictures of it either. They all had a blast!

OOPS!! I posted my reply without my pictures!!! Here they are--
1. My daugher, Amy, and her husband, Jason, coming down a trail. The pictures really don't show how steep and rocky the trails were. Some were pretty hard to come down.
2. More trail pictures
3. In this one you can see how the riders are leaning on their 4-wheelers. This was a very rocky trail and everyone was moving pretty slow because the rocks were difficult to get over.
4. One of the beautiful views that we saw.
Wow Diana , beautiful pictures you all seem to have a great time. Lovely family.

WOW Diana, the views are spectacular! I'll never be able to see views like that in my life time. My son and husband have four wheelers and have made trails in a small wooded area near us.

That's so neat! I'll live vicariously through you...I've never been four wheeling before!
Diana, I'm glad you had such fun and got to see such a beautiful part of the country! Wow it looks gorgeous!
What a lovely family you have. It sounds like you had a nice vacation. I've never been on a 4 wheeler. My first husband and I had a dirt bike and had a great time with that.

Thanks for all of your comments. It really was a wonderful vacation and the mountain views were breath-taking. Seeing the view was sooo much better in person.
We were all concerned with how well I would do because I just got my 4-wheeler in June, but I did great. I was a little slower most of the time, but eventaully I'd get to where I was going. The last 2 days I ended up riding with my husband for a while while I shared my 4-wheeler with another person. I didn't feel so worn out when I rode for a while and that's when I took a lot of my pictures.
When we left we headed north and went through Estes Park. The views there were awesome and definitely worth the time to drive through. We were going to see Zach's family but the Mom called and Zach was having a really bad day so we ended up going to my husband's sister's place in Nebraska. I've heard since then that Zach is doing better again.
I was looking through to see if you had posted any Zach updates yesterday. Glad to hear he's doing better!
