View Full Version : Mission accomplished!
This is Greg relaxing with the lab ladies on their new front porch. He got the doggy duplex and run finished today. They seem quite happy in there. When we go out to check on them, they're curled up together in one house. LOL I guess that answers the concern over whether they're big enough for moms with puppies! The top of the doors just brushes their backs when they go in, so he did good!

Poor Canada is so big already she looks like she's going to explode if she goes another 11 days. Montana hardly looks pregnant other than her growing mammaries.

It looks like a nice doggy duplex! Greg did a good job!!!
You better be on your guard because you show two females sitting on Greg's lap and he looks pretty happy about it!!! You may have competition!!!!

He said he built them sturdy so if I get mad at him he'll have a place to move to. Maybe he was trying to tell me something? LOL He really does enjoy the dogs thank goodness.
The girls are so content in their new place that they have quit barking. One of the neighbors had recently told us it was getting to be a bit much, so we were concerned. So now that they're happy and quiet it's a double blessing.
I had to laugh this morning. I had put contact paper on the floors of the houses just to make them easier to clean. It seems Montana didn't like the pattern I chose, so she painstakingly removed most of it in one of the houses. She came to greet me with a piece of it on her tail and another on her hip. We sat out there with them today and played fetch and cuddled for a while with them again, and it's just heartwarming to see the difference in both of them.
They've already learned by touching the electric wire NOT to touch the fence; the bones we gave them are almost untouched; and they're using the porch just as we'd planned. It's so cute to see them sprawled there sunning themselves. The biggest shock is that there has been NO digging. Montana had dug canyons and tunnels where she was chained. So I take this as her gift to us for doing this for her.
It's so sweet when things work out this well!

It sounds like they're appreciative of the new home you made for them, except for the contact paper. You know that every female has her own taste in decorating!!!! You should have checked it out with Montana before you put it in!!! LOL
