I'm leaving the furbabies home, putting on my bathing suit, taking my Harry Potter discs with me and am going to the beach for a couple of hours.

It looks breezy, but it's 80 and I think it will be so relaxing.

Love y'all

Hope you had a great time Judy, it's good to have some time for yourself. :)
The weather was lovely here yesterday too, we spent the day outdoors.

I would love to go to the beach, it sounds soooo relaxing. BUT there is no way I'd but my fat a$$ in a bathing suit. I'd look like a freak'n beached whale.

For now, I'll just relax in a tub of bubbles with some candles going and Garth Brooks making me feel good!! LOLOL

Judy, that sounds like a wonderful plan!

Janet, I can SO relate. Being seen in a swimming suit is not something I care to do. Unless I can find a beach that allows only 50+ overweight women and has a really tall privacy fence to keep out gawkers. LOL

If I find one I'll be sure to let you know and we can go together.

Oh pulease! I saw an older guy and a younger guy, both in speedos! No matter
how much extra poundage we might have, nothing looks worse than a speedo!

But, despite that assault on my eyes, the beach was incredible. I'd like to get back on Wednesday if it works out.

That Garth Brooks thing sounds really nice too! I may try that too. I just bought a candle from Kohls that is scented, but it's electric - uses batteries. The little flame-like bulb flickers and it's made of wax. (I have a fear of fire and small animals).

Judy, I'm jealous that you can go to the beach everyday!!!! I would love to go!!! The best I can do is go down and sit at the edge of our pond and get eaten up by the chiggers! YUCK!!!

Janet and Tink, If I can wear a swimsuit then so can you!!! I feel so good when I'm swimming and in the water that I don't care what other people think (Ok, I do when it's close friends!). There are lots of different styles to fit different body types so you just have to find what's right for you. Just keep looking!!!!

I love your positive attitude Diana! I wish I could be more like you, but I wouldn't be caught dead in a swimsuit...too embarrassed and self-conscious...:o

We have a place in the city near us called Lafayette Tent and Awning. Maybe I can find something there. I think they have plain white and also red and white stripes....LOLOL

Shame on you, Janet, you know that stripes aren't flattering!!!! I'm larger than you and I have several swimsuits. I just don't worry about what others say. I enjoy the water too much to let what other people think keep me out. I have a friend who just swims in a t-shirt and some exercise shorts. There's even swimsuits that have built-in tummy control!!! That would be great to have all over but then I'd be covered from head to toe in a swimsuit to get enough fat control!!!! LOL

That's what I do Diana! LOL! Well, I wear it over the swimsuit, but I'd be SO embarrassed if I didn't.

It's awesome that you aren't self-conscious. I wish I could be like that too, but I don't know if I'll ever feel comfortable in a swimsuit...

Never white, and never stripes LOL... they dont "do it" for us anymore :yelrotflmao:
Now seriously, Diana is right, why worry what others think? Dont let anyone spoil your fun!

I'm going to try to go back to the beach on Friday. It's supposed to be about 80 again.

You would not believe the size (and age) of some of the women there wearing bikinis! We're very multicultural in Brooklyn, and you know what? You begin to get used to it very quickly, and it's just fine.

You'll have to hop on a plane and come to Coney Island where anything goes!

It's the same here, and people dont even seem to care, or look - as long as they are having a good time. :)
