I just wanted to let everyone know that Mom's surgery today was a success! There was an 80% chance the port would work in the first place they tried, and it did! She's pretty sore and can't do any lifting at all so she's taking it easy today. I think the nurse convinced her to stay home from work tomorrow and possibly Friday as well which is great! She needs to rest. Anyway, I just wanted to keep you updated!

Thanks everyone. I have had a rough couple of days but I am doing better today. I have had a lot of dizziness and nausea but it is not as bad today. Pain is not quite as bad either so things are looking up. First chemo is Tuesday so I may not feel too well again for a while but this is all just steps in beating this so it will all be OK. Thanks for all the prayers and the hugs.

Dear Debbie

You have a wonderful attitude. That's so important. I'm so glad the surgery is over.
Now, you've got a little more of the road to travel and then you can get off that road.

With lots of love and prayers,

Judy

Debbie, it's good to hear you feeling better today. Take things easy, and tackle one thing at a time. Rest when you need to.
We are right here, thinking of you, and in our prayers, always.

Thanks Mandy and Judy. Today has been much better. Still tired and a little sore but much better. Probably around 6 months of chemo and then the main surgery. Like you said one step at a time.
