Any one have a really bad birthday they want to share.
Mine was when I turned 40. I broke my foot 5 days before. Had to have a root canal done, Had to have a colonoscopy, ended up getting dehydrated and put on predisone for 6 months blew up like a balloon. Got down to 100 pounds and then ballooned up to 135. My dog died. And then 911 happened. Not a good year.
But hey I'm still here and I thank god every day just to be able to get out of bed in the morning.

WOW! That sounds really tough...I hope the rest of your Birthday's are much better.

I don't recall a really "bad" birthday. I just had mine and the worst part was not one of my kids remembered. :( Luckily my husband made up for it and made it more special than ever. :p

When I was in the fourth grade, my mom was going to throw me a little BD party after school. Apparently she ran a little late to pick me up because she was running some errands for the party. I was waiting for a half hour in front of the school for her to get me. I am an April baby and it almost always rains on my birthday. That day we had a huge thunderstorm and by the time my mom came to get me, I was soaked to the bone. I got the chills and felt sick after that and I couldn't even enjoy the party. As a kid, you look forward to birthdays and that one really sucked.:(

YES! Last year, September 25th, my birthday, we had the last remnants of Hurrican Rita come through our are. Trees were already weakened from Katrina almost a month before. Sam was taking me out to eat that night but....first we had to remove the tree that had fallen across our driveway, courtesy of Rita! While Sam was making a "clean-up cut" with the chain saw, a piece of the tree flew up and hit him in the face. I was not there when the accident happened, had come back to the house to check on the furbabies (we had no power - again! - without for 10 days after Katrina). The boys came running in the house yelling, call 911 and we need a bag of ice for dad! I took off running to where he was and he was laying on the ground with his face in his hands and all I could see was blood, lots of blood! I didn't know until almost an hour later that the chain say did not cut his face, the blood was from the broken (or should I say crushed) nose! He ended up with a broken left cheek bone (it was where his nose was supposed to be), a shattered nose, and all the orbits around his left eye were fractured or broken. Four surgeries later, the cheek is healed and where it should be, the torn tear duct in his left eye has been repaired, the orbital wall around his left eye has healed, and the reconstructive work on his nose has been done - and the one year anniversary is just over a week away. May have to have one more surgery to have an implant put under his left eye where bone is missing but otherwise, he's healed and doing great! I told him this year on my birthday, he's to stay away from power tools!! Luckily, he's on duty at the fire station that day so I don't have to worry about that, just any fires or accidents that may come up. He's thinking of taking the day off!! So last year has to be my worst birthday ever!

I would have to say this past b-day was not so great. My husband was deployed & I was alone. My daughter was here but she was only 11 months old at the time. No family, nothing. My husband's parents forgot my b-day & I still haven't heard from them about it & my b-day was in May. I think I got 2 cards & they were late, so I was pretty bummed that day. Guess once you get older, people think it doesn't matter if they even acknowledge its your b-day....I don't need presents....just a simple phone call would do.:(

It's been quite a few years back, but when I smoked, my husband bought be a carton of cigarettes for my birthday. I know it was an awful habit, but it was like him saying....here smoke these and die!!

Then smile, turn around, and walk away all the time singing Happy Birthday To Me, Happy Birthday Tooooo ME. It's a win win situation. LOL :D

This is so sad. :( I feel Birthday's should be special no matter what your age. I mean really, it's your own day!! It's the one day it should be all about you and not be called selfish.

OMG!! I am so glad though that your fur kid is doing so great...He will be there to celebrate your upcoming Birthday in just a few days. How special is that???

You share the same Birthday as my husband. :p

I hope this year your Birthday is more special and you don't have to deal with any natural disasters.

We need to ask Admin to post our Birthdays as they do in YT so everybody is remembered. I might head over to that section now to ask. ;)

I mentioned earlier about updating our Birthday's in the profile section. But oops forgot, it's already there when we became a member. My bad. :D

I would have to say my last BD...My husband totally forgot! If it wasn't for my daughter telling him he would have forgotten all together and I wasn't about to tell him. Birthdays aren't really a big deal for me but, he could have at least SAID happy birthday.

Just think of all the "shopping" and "fun" so many of us will have, LOL!

Oh, and don't forget...If it is your Birthday, you are allowed to buy things for other people or whatever also. Being it's "YOUR" day, you get to make the rules.

So, my last Birthday earlier this month I bought my horse a new pair of reins. I put them on her and said "Happy Birthday to me, and I wanna share with you". If you get creative the options are never ending!! ;)

Believe me...I will be putting a lot of thought in what my present will be. I just can't wait now. :) I like buying things for my son, babies and myself, although it's been quite some time since I've bought myself anything. Well...except I just ordered the WW books...LOL
