Sliding Down the Milky Way

I love you up,
I love you down.
I love you in the country,
I love you through the town.

I love you here,
I love you there,
I simply love you everywhere.

I love you to the ends of the universe
and dancing on a wishing star.
I love you sliding down the Milky Way,
I love you anywhere you are.

You are the apple of my eye,
my sunny day and bright blue sky.
You are the heart of my heart
and the place where love starts.

I love you.

It's the bedtime rhyme I made up for my son when he was little.

I have "my own box" too Mandy. Actually, I have two. One from high school and one with all of the letters and pictures and keepsakes from Brendon. I love going through that stuff. It brings back so many good memories!

You are welcome to use it. I print it in colored letters - pink or blue - on nice paper, decorate with scrapbooking items and frame in white frame for a baby gift. Oops - the question mark in the last line before 2005 should be a copyright device - that c in a circle.

Thanks Kate ~ i'm thinking it would also make a nice cover for a scrapbook, with decorations on the sides :)

My name is actually Katherine A. Minden - you can credit to that name or to Kit or Kate Greenleaf or... whatever looks best on what you make - it's all the same to me!

Mandy with 5 kids my "box" is a huge chest. I go through it sometimes with the intent of cleaning it out but I can never bring myself to throw anything away.

Debbie, dont throw anything away, they might like to show it to their own kids one day ;)

I scan my son's drawings and writing into the computer - then I can toss the original and still have it all for my grandkids one day. My son doesn't want them but I think he will like it when he has kids so I keep them that way.

Dear Kate,

That's a lovely baby gift! I may use it - crediting it to Kit Greenleaf. I love that he used that name.

As far as boxes, I have long outgrown boxes and I only have one child (and 3 grandchildren). I am not at all a clutter person, but save everything from the children. I still have Jessie's sticker book from 4th grade. I have a huge apartment, so it's not a problem.

When I move, I'll deal with it somehow.
